An unpleasant attack at tombstones

Batı Trakya´da Müslüman mezarlığına saldırı

An unpleasant attack occurred last night at Muslim cemetery in "Gümilcine" (Komotini) in western Thrace, Greece.
Some vandals destroted more than 10 tombstones, wrote some nasty stuff on some others and left a small knife in the graveyard.

Police officials made some examinations in the cemetery. Some 300 muslims in vicinity blocked the traffic on the road before cemetery then visited Turkish consulate.

Terrible, Total lack of respect  shown by any bastards demolishing any kind of cemeteries. I hope these thugs will be punished.

Dead are dead. They dont need any respect. They will never come back to learn about what happent to their grave stones. Actually, they will never find out. They are asleep until the Judgement Day.

Stupid are those who show respect to dead stones.

I agree dead people are dead and respecting them only for that is silly. However, the actin was disrespectful to their living relatives and, as such, should be condemned. Still, we don´t know if it was a manifestation of hate towards Muslims or drunk teenager vandalism. Not that it justifies the action, but cemetaries are getting vandalised all over the world and it is usually the drunk kids who stand behid it

The formal name of this act is desecration, and it is done to show contempt and hate towards whatever group it is being done towards. Today the fashionable group to show contempt towards seems to be Muslims.

In my opinion, it´s the height of cowardice.....and being drunk kids makes me wonder what was taught at home.

Not really true. You know that in Europe e.g. people dont mess with Muslims, thats why many Muslims feel very self-confident and in some cases very arrogant. They have all the rights equally with others except Shariah which I presume they will have soon.

People like you, Alameda, exaggerate the situation of Muslims in Europe. I live here in UK and I tell you they are doing well, they have everything they want, their food, their clothing, freedom to practice their religion (mosques built almost in every city at the cost of tax payers) free education, schools are free from racism - A PARADISE!

They have their own cities like Birmingham or Manchester that are turning into smaller Pakistan. My friend returned from Birmingham yesterday and said she hasnt seen any white in her 10 days of visiting. Native English are gradually moving out from those cities.

As for cemetries, you dont know but youth here vandalize basically everything. They have no respect for anything. Here I mean Europe.

Its a sign of vandalism to me. I dont know. Never been to Greece. All I know is that youth do that in Poland to all type cemetries esp. Jewish.

We had a few cases like this as well in Holland. When it happened to Jewish cemeteries they put swastika´s everywhere, so it was clearly a racist act. This hasn´t happened to Muslim cemeteries in Holland, perhaps because there are not that many about.

Yesterday I saw something on the news that just makes the mind boggle. A woman had the ashes of her husband buried in her garden, with a marble heart standing on top of it. In the night some people actually dug up the ashes, took the urn with them, and in the process they damaged the heart. I can´t come up with any explanation for such an act.

I think secret services are in action and I am afraid this is just the beginning.
