I think doctor is a humanist.

That is often the problem with humanists. They have more compassion on the abuser than the victim.

Murderer buried the victim alive(I am not sure if he was aware). Victim died of suffocation. There was dirt in his lungs. But doctor didn´t want to write the cause of dead. Because he didn´t want murderer to get more punishment. As you know murderer killed the victim after an arguement which murderer had claimed victim´s son was his son. So maybe doctor didn´t want to seperate father and son more than enough.

I think a person capable of an execution like the one described in this movie cannot be anyone´s father ever.

You Turks have a great understanding for passion. I cannot say that I have. That is why the doctor´s decision challenged me and I thought there must have been something I hadn´t understood. Well making someone think adds to the merits of the movie.

Thank you for your help, gokuyum.

My Bite:

A Overview on the History of Turks and the origin of the word Türk

In the Turkic and Altaic mytology, the Oğuz Kağan epic, the forefather of the Turks is Oğuz Kağan. It is agreed that Kağan was the establisher of the first Turkish state and the first political unity of Turks in the world. Oğuz Kağan ruled in Central Asia, Anatolia and Iran.

It has been stated that Turks arrived in Anatolia 1200 years B.C.

The notion of Turks appeared for the first time in Chinese sources and Uyghur texts in the 6th century.

Turks have not shown much attention to their own history. That is why the history of Turks has been mostly written by the Chinese, Greeks and Iranis. According to Chinese sources, the naming ´Türk´ has been derived from the word "tu-kiüe " which among the Ural-Altaic tribes of the Central Asia and the Turkish tribe which we can call Göktürks and which lived in Kin-Şan mountains carried the meaning ‘helmet’.

Some historians say the oldest name of the Turkish tribe in the B.C. times was ´Türk´.

I want to watch it as soon as possible.

After you do come back and tell me why you think the doctor did not want to write down the victim´s real cause of death to the report. I missed that part.

I always dream of friends who would read the things I read and watch the things I watch. They are very hard to find.

This is how modern crime stories are. The crime is not the issue itself but the background which enlightens some features in our societies.

What I liked about this movie was the ominous atmosphere. Maybe it comes from things that are not said loud, maybe from the endless steppe where every place looks the same. Children suffer from their fathers´ mistakes and every human being is adrift by his destiny just like an apple falls from the tree and rolls down the hill to the brook. Or an empty canister is thrown around by the stormy wind.

My favourite actor in this movie was Yılmaz Erdoğan as komiser Naci. His presence is so strong in every scene. At the place of the grave he turns out to be the most sensitive member of the team.

My kind of movie. But so difficult language.
