What about bending my good spoon though?  Confused  Taking admins advice I think heating up a dish towel in the microwave would work.  I´ll try this technique and report back.Big smile

Heating up a dish towel ?!

Normally wont work, needs to be more warmer than that to open the jar, but again i guess it depends on the jar after all ! Unsure

Again...we would need to ask the scientists

Hey, I thought about buying this gadget..I pound it against the counter and take a towel and still can´t get those jars open at times.

Quoting admin

Metal part of the jar (the lid) expands and contracts more with temperature change compared to the glass body. A cold jar will be much harder to open because of the contracted lid. Warm the lid a little and it should open easily. Cheaper than getting a powered tool or keeping a husband as jar opener. Plus some guests may be impressed with your practical intelligence Confused

Yes but always remember to use a towel when you open it, it would be kind of hot and burn your hand a bit after you warm it.

But im not sure about using the heat in that case, i wonder what would the scientist say ?! Unsure

I have to say that if you want to be fair, you have to cry out EQUALLY when a Muslim man (like Mohammed Bouyeri) brutally murders and innocent man (like Theo van Gogh), for criticizing Islam, and millions like him threaten to murder others for criticizing Islam, and million of others chant "death to those who insult Islam". Be fair Canli and Alameda!!! All human lifes are equal!!! You are hypocrites if you only cry about lost Muslim lifes, or discrimination against Muslims by non-Muslims!!! The same exact, but opposite thing happens in YOUR culture and YOUR religion!!! Do you ever raise that problem as well or are you blind to it?

With that said, what happened in this incident is a criminal and absolutely atrocious murder. I can hardly believe this happening in a court. Absolutely abhorrent and just leaves me speechless. I hope she rests in peace and I hope that nobody who participated in this horrible cruelty goes unpunished.

I also have to say that I find the level of racism against Muslims to be very high and blatant. I am shocked at times how openly some people say racist things about Muslims in this country, it is just unacceptable. In fact I have seen a lovely, Muslim lady today in a doctor´s office who requested to see a female doctor (although she later said that she understood if we couldn´t provide her one), yet some of the comments that were made about this were just terrible.

Ãf i want to be fair ?!

Ý think the words fair and justice have no place anymore wouldnt you say ?!

They are just words, you use them when it suits

This happened in COURTROOM..where supposed to be the place where you can find or get those funny words...fair and justice!

Look my dear, those words are very nice indeed but when used by your Media to demand fair and justice from terrorist Muslims...im afraid that is the usage you know about those words.

Ým hypocrites if i only cry about lost Muslim lives, or discrimination against Muslims by non-Muslims?!

Actually, i cry Marwa, a 32 old woman who has been killed voilently infront of her 3 yrs old boy for nothing other than being Muslim and wearing Hijab!

And i´m a hypocrite for that ?!

Who is the hypocrite now ?

To give excuses and justification for her killing ´murder´ because a Muslim killed non muslim before ?!

Your comment about this are no different than many other comments actually, like..well you kill your muslim woman in your countries, then why are you crying her...or yes as another one who said but there was an old man killed by muslims too then.... or, it was her mistake, she should have ignored him and not sue him...etc

So you justify her killing by that ?!

Ýts OK to kill Muslim woman in your countries ?

OK following that same logic , then can you please count how many Muslim been killed by your hands in Ýraq and Afghanistan and compare them of how many Western been killed by Muslims ?!

What ?!

Those people not count or their lives are cheap compaired to yours ?!!!

So would you say by following same logic, it was OK for Muslims to kill those people because US and actually UK have killed more Muslims than Muslims did ?!

What kind of logic is that ?!

And let´s see, in my religion and in my country...mmmmmm

NOPE, actually no one has been killed in our courtrooms and shot by the policeman just for being Christian.

So actually, NO, same thing doesnt and didnt happen here by my culture or my religion

A nice debate was here in TV, the interviewer was wondering, why those people hate us that much ´Westerns he meant´ because we invaded their countries before ?

Egypt took over England for 100 of year and sucked it resources or something

Are we bombing Germany, France and killing their people everyday like US doing...

Why those people hate us that much?!

A woman walking in the streats covering her hair...what kind of problems she is doing to others ?!

He didnt find the answer actually, and i dont find one too!

So, NO, that NEVER happened in my country before so i raise that problem

Of course if it happened you would have knew about it in your Media, unlike Marwa, who wasnt important enough for the Media to talk about it!

Humanrights wouldnt be silent about it either...so dont worry

Ý wonder where is the humanrights now in Marwa´s case...blind of course...she is Muslim..so seems she has no rights!

Muslims are the terrorists, but that man...mmm well, now they say he is retarded

Ýronic isnt it?

Before the trail they say he is a normal person, but after what he did he became retarded, not terrorist of course...only Muslims are !

And you ask ME to be fair ?!

Hmmm, what kind of ´fair´ do you want me to be, your version of fairness?!

Ok, read this and tell me about ´fair´ again

You know what the policeman said to justify shooting the husband ?

He said he was a witness at the next room when they called for him so he came and saw the husband...not blond and not Caucasian and the woman, and that blond Caucasian man, so he thought OF COURSE the husband is the criminal and shot him...

How about that ?!

Fair you say ?!

PS: ´you´ generally speaking

Nobody is right and wrong...and why are you avoiding commenting on the shrinking issue Turkey faces...isn´t that why LL started this threadRoll eyes  so we can discuss columns posted. This is serious Canli!  Shrinking is not a good thing to Turks this could mean Erdogans call for women to have at least seven kids will be at risk.Sad

Why am i avoiding commenting on the shrinking issue  ?

Because i wont comment on back doors !

Ý wasnt allowed to comment on the colomn itself, so i didnt and wont re-read it after he amend it and comment on it else way

When he is brave enough to talk and hear what others have to say, then we can have debates about it...but not a second before that !

Sry, my opinion.
