Quoting boradiz:

Lyrics
Şebnem FERAH Yağmurlar
Sokaklar sakin geceler karabasan
Ellerim titrer
Kim bu ben mi kim bu susan
Ne soran var ne bilen
Sebebim yok bana kıyan
Erkeğim sendin
Vazgeçtim Rüyalardan
Beni sevmezsen yağmurları sev
Bulutlar ağlasın sen gül güneş doğsun yeniden
Gidiyorum gözüm yaşlı
Hatıran har yüreğime
Sen sev yağmurları
Yağmurlar yağsın üzerime
Gidiyorum gözüm yaşlı
Ah yine yol yol üstüne
Sen sev yağmurları
Yağmurlar yağsın yüzüme...

The streets are quiet and the nights a nightmare
My hands shiver
Who is this me, who is the one that keeps silence?
Neither there is anyone who asks, nor anyone who knows
The man who let go of me, was you,
I gave up on dreams

If you dont love me, love the rain
Let the clouds cry, you smile and may the sun rise again
Im going with tears in my eyes, your memory is strongly in my heart
Love the rain, let them rain over me
Im going with tears in my eyes, oh again road upon road..
You love the rain, let fall upon my face...

thanks! If I ever manage to write something about it, Ill translate it and post it up here. It is really interesting and I think most people arent aware of the fact that Turkish has changed soooo much even in the last half a century! I think for çağdaş Turkish youth, it is impossible to read the middle-osmanlıca texts, even if one would transcribe them to Latin alphabet!

I just cant focuss on my essay. Keep thinking about sharing a nightly cup of coffee with Marzena But must admit that it would be more a morning coffee for Dutch time by the time we get our lazy bums off our chairs (anyway CW, I hope you dont read this because it means you are actually really studying )

Ahh dont tease the girl I remember the first time I met his parents, but I have to say, I didnt plan anything or asked around, I just thought that respect is universal and stuck to it!

But maybe its the fact that they are not religious and that they definitely wont let me kiss their hands the big difference here

Actually 'anlasa' vb forms, also imply that the outcome is negative:

Anlasa da.. If she would just understand it, BUT SHE DOESNT.

Anlarsa, bu ödevi yapar. If she understands it, she can do the homework. It is not sure whether she understands it or not, all that matters is that her understanding is a şart for the second part to actually happen.
