well,
I present my Turkey trip to our Turkish sponsors this Thursday. It is a Philadelphia group of Turkish professionals who seek to enhance Turkish/USA realtions, and they paid for my whole journey!

I am working diligently on an i-movie presentation- hopefully they will like it and give me suggestions for December and next summer.

PS- I have communicated with Tomer/Izmer- and hope OMer is able to go with me, as it seems a perfect program.

Christine

Ohh that sounds great! What is an i-move though?

You should let me know how everything is going and when you will be in Izmir for your course!! Why wouldn't Omer be able to go with you? Due to work?

by the way goverment choice who will serve for 12 months or 6 six months if the young man graduated from university...in 6 months there is no salary but for 12 months goverment pay good money and help for all accommadation etc.

So, if you graduate from university like you did and like Kadir will, there are two options:

01. Duty of 12 months with good salary
02. Duty of 6 months without salary

And the government will choose if you get option 01 or 02?

On what do they judge if you should get option 01 or option 02?

You're welcome

I always find it hard to find things out on the internet about Türkiye! But I'm sure a travel agency can help you.

Kadir was on the way from Ankara back home and usually he sends me a text in the bus-break and when he gets home. But I didn't egt any text at all today and his phone was off so I was gettin worried!! So I decided to text his mum in crappy Turkish!! And like.. 10 minutes later Kadir text that he forgot his charger but that everythin was ok and blahblahblah!!

I did receive a text back from his mum, but is till feel embarrassed. Now I look like a massive control freak!! Which I am!! BLEHHH!!

Anyway it's good to have this shouted out

I was IM/MSN about an hour ago with my boyfriend in Istanbul, and within the span of 45 minutes, his Internet shut down and closed our video conference 3 times- .

????

It can also depend on his internet provider.. Or maybe his datalimit is not that big, or he has dial-up connection.. these make video-conferences a bit hard..

Isn't it more logical to try and find holiday apartments?
I think a travel-agent could fix you up with some addresses.

I have never been to Istanbul, but i figure they have apartments too and not only hotels? They won't be as 'independent' as a real apartment, but at least you'll be able to cook for yourself, have your own kitchen and fridge and everythin!
