Quoting sunflower

Acı çekerken gülmek, sevinçliyken kendıni tutmak,içinden küfrederken dışından teşekkür etmek zorunluluğu,yaşam ilerledikçe ağır basar;her adımda bir zorlamayla karşılaşmak yazgıya dönüşür; buna yaşamda maske denir

The necessity of smiling while having pain; restraining oneself while being happy; thanking while cursing from inside becomes influential when the life moves on. Facing a necessity on every step turns to destiny. It is called the mask in life.

People mostly use that expression in the conditions below.

First one is when they get bored, dislike something, or become sad. It is like the expression "Ugh!" or to sigh.

For example: Off! Başım ağrıyor... (Ugh! I´ve got a headache)

Second one is the opposite. When they like something a lot, become very happy or enjoy. It is like the expression "Wow!" when you like something.

For example: Off! Şu arabaya bak! (Wow! Look at that car!)

In addition, it is also used when people get hurt, or get tired.

Quoting Suzie

I am going away for a few days next weekend for my friend´s birthday and then the following Sunday we are all going to see Take That in concert

Gelecek hafta sonu arkadaşımın doğum günü için birkaç gün ayrılacağım ve sonraki Pazar günü hepimiz konserde Take That´i göreceğiz.

Bi sey sordugumda ´evet´ diosun ya hani, iste o an ayagına basmak geliyor icimden. Hayal iste, kuruyor insan♥

Bir şey sorduğumda ´evet´ diyorsun ya hani, işte o an ayağına basmak geliyor içimden. Hayal işte, kuruyor insan.

You know, when you say "yes", when I ask you something, that time I feel like to step on your foot. Just a dream, one dreams about it.

(Stepping on someone´s foot as in wedding ceremonies. When bride or groom say yes, the other steps on other´s foot. Whoever steps their foot on other´s will be dominant in the family. Just a superstition )

Its ridiculous to judge someone before you know them.

Birini tanımadan yargılamak çok saçmadır.

Did you send me a message???

Bana mesaj gönderdin mi?

Why you say that?

Neden öyle diyorsun? (or if it is past tense: Neden öyle dedin?)

did you told your brother not to talk to me?

Kardeşine benimle konuşmamasını mı söyledin?

This dialogue is written by Oğuz Atay. He is a novelist. This must be a quote from one of his novels.
