I hate to say it, but sometimes I do feel that if people hate the Western values and do not want to respect the laws and values of the HOST country, then maybe they should move/go back to a country that does embrace the value that they cherish. If they want sharia law, they don´t have to try to change the British legal systems, there are already countries who do have those laws in place and I´m sure they would be very welcoming.

What I mean by narrowing the vowel is changing it to: i, ý, ü, u. 

Here´s some info on vowel classification according to Manisa Turkish website:

(A) According to the position of tongue and exit.

1. Thick vowels: a, ý, o, u.
2. Thin vowels: e, i, ö, ü.

(B) According to the lips positioning.

1. Straight vowels: a, e, ý, i.
2. Rounded vowels: o, ö, u, ü.

(C) According to the mouth opening.

1. Wide Vowels: a, e, o, ö.
2. Narrow vowels: ý, i, u, ü.

So when you conjugate a verb in the Present Continuous time, different sources will explain differently what happens when you add the suffix -yor to a verb stem that ends in a vowel.

Some sources will say to:

- drop a vowel

For example:

beklemek: bekle-mek; bekle-; bekl-

yemek: ye-mek; ye-; y-

- add -iyor (according to vowel harmony)

bekl-iyor; bekliyor

y-iyor; yiyor

Others will say to:

- narrow the vowel (according to vowel harmony)

beklemek: bekle-mek; bekle-; bekli-

yemek: ye-mek; ye-; yi-

- add - yor

bekli-yor; bekliyor

yi-yor; yiyor

The end result is the same, I guess it´s up to you which way is easier to understand.

In your post here, you had a couple of words which needed the vowels "narrowed"

izleyorum - izliyorum

çalýþmayorlar - çalýþmýyorlar

That´s why I said to pay attention to that.

Per "Teach Yourself Turkish" you can use either/or to express "repeated or habitual action", so I think in that context both times are intechangeable.

Just a few corrections of some mistakes I´ve noticed.

You need to make sure you narrow the vowel before "yor", it seems like that was the most common mistake.

Thank you, but not really well done, they had a home-field advantage and they didn´t play all that well, especially in the first half. I think the one goal was scored in like the 80th minute! I guess they got lucky and there´s still hope they might qualify.

That´s a great example.

It might be helpful to contrast the English translations too:

metal kutu - "metal box" - metal is a material, in this context this nouns "acts" like an adjective describing what the box is made of

metal kutusu - "a box of metal"

Compare with sandbox - kum kutusu - it´s obvious that the sand goes inside the box, the box itself is not made of sand, it may be made of wood - tahta kutu (with no -su ending).
