Well, some people do care on their daily horoscope and check internet or newspapers daily.
But "as far as I know", people don't care about your birth year. I mean it is not common in Turkey. Of course there are people caring on this too.
But in Far-East it is really important.

Here in Korea they have a similar tradition to Turkish "GÃ¶rÃ¼cÃ¼ UsulÃ¼" where families changes a small piece of paper which bride and groom's birth data is written on, and the next day both families run to different "horoscoper (?)"s to know if they fit or suit each other.
