I am sure it is easier than arabic!

Is turkish is hard to learn or not? It depends on what your mother language is... As a general rule it is easy to learn a relative language. Language classification may give an idea.

Arabic is a semitic language and totally different from turkish language. But luckily we have many arabic words in turkish, that is a plus for you.

I heard that japanese language structure is similar to turkish and a far relative also. That is why japanese people learn to speak turkish only in a few months.

Spanish, italian, portugese, french are relatives. English and german are relatives. Arabic and hebrew relatives...

"Ne olur" literally means "what happens" if you do so and so...

But it is used as "please" meaning "nothing happens bad for you if you do so and so", "why dont you do that then", "i wish you do it" ...

ne olur anla beni: please understand me

Murat shortly can say "Defterimi de getireceğim" (I´ll bring my notebook).

But we may think, why?

"Onun için" For that (reason).

"that" is in the first sentence, they will do the science homework together.

Quoting alameda

Hmmm....The word mingy is very unusual here in the USA.............in fact I had to look it up to realize it is another word for stingy. Perhaps it´s used in other English speaking countries?

I have never heard the words "mingy" and "stingy". I am not a native english speaker, that may be normal for me. But sometimes i wonder when it will end to come accross strange words. I am getting hopeless learning english will not end for the rest of my life... I should stop looking for new words sometime in the future.
