Quoting benguile3

I think, though that the first English rendition sought to keep the rhyme scheme from the Turkish:  a, a, a, z; b, b, b, z, etc.  the last word of each of the first lines rhyme in Turkish it looks to me.  Is this correct?

kafiye düzeni for each line: aaba, ccca, ddda...

Alternate translation from another website, i just copied and pasted here:

Bana Seni Gerek Seni

Aşkın aldı benden beni
Bana seni gerek seni
Ben yanarım dünü günü
Bana seni gerek seni

Ne yokluğa yerinirim
Ne varlığa sevinirim
Aşkın ile avunurum
Bana seni gerek seni

Cennet cennet dedikleri
Birkaç köşkle birkaç huri
İsteyene ver onları
Bana seni gerek seni

Yunusdurur benim adım
Gün geçtikçe artar odum
İki cihanda maksudum
Bana seni gerek seni

I need you, just you

Your love alienated me from myself
I need you, just you
I burn in your desire all the time
I need you, just you

I don´t feel sad about poverty
And I don´t take pride in wealth
It´s your love that cheers me up
I need you, just you

Paradise,as they have described it
with a bunch of luxurious palaces and houris in it
Better be granted to the ones who ask for it
I need you, just you

My name is Yunus
and as time goes by, the flames of love exceed in my heart
I have just one goal in the two worlds
I need you, just you

Quoting Abla

They gave him this nickname. > He was given this nickname.

But you shouldn’t try it in Turkish. It just somehow wouldn’t work. Am I right?

I tried! Here is the forced translations! for "He was given this nickname.":

O, bu lakabla adlandırıldı!
O, bu lakabla lakablandırıldı!
O, bu lakabla sıfatlandırıldı!
O, bu lakabla muttasıf kılındı!

First one can be used, the others seem odd.

Quoting AlphaF

I find no great joy in riches
Nor do I grieve, if I am poor.
The only solace I have is your love,
You´re the one I need, you´re the one I crave

varlık has at least two meanings in turkish.

1. existence, to be exist

2. to have something like money, house, car... in other words what rich people have.

the poet talking about the second meaning.

correct translation should be

"varlık:richness, wealth;

yokluk: poorness, poverty."

Quoting heiditc

But there is no point in fasting if you are not going to pray the 5 daily prays.

Five daily prayer (salah, namaz) is not connected to fasting (sawm).

Even ramadan tarawih prayer is not connected to daytime fasting.

Ablution (wudhu) is connected to daily prayer (salah). Without ablution, prayer is not possible and accepted.

If we cannot do everything in religion ordered, we should not quit all. Ne yaparsak kârdır.

How to survive from the biggest economic collapse in human history which is so close:

* Withdraw all your money from any bank. Don´t leave a single penny in any bank.

* If you have money, buy physical gold. If no gold available buy silver. If no silver available buy food such as rice, wheat, flour, vegetable oil, drinking water... Stay away from banks again, dont use any gold account.

* Stay away from big cities such as new york, los angeles, philadelphia. If possible move to countryside. if not, find a way to produce your own vegetables in your backyard. There will be a food crisis, too.

* Store some food at home. Canned foods, lots of drinking water, vegetable oil etc. Find a way to cook without electricity and natural gas.

* Store some fuel, electric battery. If possible buy a small generator (power unit).

* Include a gun and some bullets at home for security  reason. There may be riots...

That´s all!
