I don´t get this stress thing a lot, but in my opinion in "gidelim", there is an equal stress on the first and last sllyable while -de has a less stress on it.

Quoting maryilyons

Could someone translate the following for me?  Tesekkur ederim.

Hi bebek,

For my Christmas holiday I am thinking of going to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro, but I really want to see you.  I wish you would fly to Zanzibar and meet me for the New Year, just until January 3 when I have to return to China.  I know we would have a great time there and I think you would love it.

I think this one is like this:

Bana bir dilek hakkı daha bırakın, seninle bir başka gün için

Thread: Why do Turks Like Pakistan

It´s been considered like a brother country, because they have taken Turkey´s independence movement and war an example for their own independence. Ottoman Empire with its independence war has shown underdevelopped countries that being a colony is not a choice in order to survive and dignity is above everything. Pakistan has seen Turkey as a guide for their civilization. They have made their flag like ours, but I think one of the most important things that has won Turks´ admiration has been that unlike some arabs even if they were poor Pakis have given their money and golds to support Ottomans in their war time.

Quoting Johnk

how do you say

these are my grand daughters

these are my grand children

they are my grand daughters

Bunlar (benim) kız torunlarım.

Bunlar (benim) torunlarım.

Onlar (benim) kız torunlarım.

--> "benim" is optional here. You put it to emphasize that they are "yours"

Quoting bella2509

do you really miss me? or are you just being nice?

I would understand what sonunda wrote although it´s not completely correct.

Maybe he will understand if you write it this way:

"Beni gerçekten özledin mi yoksa sadece kibarlıktan mı öyle söylüyorsun?"

Quoting libralady

 My nephew is studying his science doctorate at Nottingham uni and he gets around £12,000 per year and on that he manages to live, eat, get very drunk on a regular basis, go to concerts, goes on holiday, buys clothes and sometimes buys soap to wash {#lang_emotions_bigsmile}

Hehe, then it´s good That´s what I am looking for as well.

I have already found a subject that interests me (in my condition you don´t choose the subject you are going to study, the profs offer you their subjects to work with) the only thing I have to do is making an application and then waiting their reply. The money issue is one of my concerns, but as well moving to a new country...
