My attempt;
At this moment in time, for some reason the forum is very quiet.Everyone is coming here to learn Turkish, but when they write, they aren't talking in Turkish, this is the reason i cose to write in Turkish, until everyone is skilfull enough to talk Turkish,i send an invite to everyone.I'm of the point of view that at the very least they can come to practice,to try,to observe their mistakes, and to assist one another.

I may be wrong it may need checking

i'm going to turkey next week and my friend asked if i could bring her some bacon, can anyone tell me if am i allowed to bring meat into the country? thanks!

I haven't read the whole thread, so this could have been answered in total already, but you are not allowed to take meat into ANY country!!!!! Or dairy products, seeds (as in germinating seeds) and many other things, of which there are signs posted in all airports.

I am sure you can buy bacon in Turkey, there is plenty of bacon from Asda or Tesco's lol in resorts, to satify the need of the UK holiday maker, desperate for his daily bacon fix!

I asked the Government in Turkey if I could take seeds to Turkey they ok'd it,and I was also allowed to take none leafing saplings of trees as long as they werent endangered from the country of origin or the country of destination they said fine but i went through an importer maybe the laws for them are different?

hey Marrion you missed baked beans, heinz in all probability but i'm not advertising or anything

Very kind of you to offer, but no thanks! I never really liked them. I don't touch pilav üstü kuru fasulye either, which is a good substitute so Heinz lovers don't need to import.

Substitute Heinz brown sauce (Daddy's sauce) or Ploughman's pickle if you would like

Hey you're a lady what do you know about Daddy's sauce? That's a fella's sauce i'll send you some red sauce(Mum's sauce)be happy with it!

Double Gloucester Cheese
Red Leicester Cheese
Large pack of bacon
A nice pork pie
Holland & Barretts crystallized ginger or ginger covered in chocolate
Pot of marmite
Independent newspaper (nice and crisp, not pages all wrinkled because you have read it first, and certainly DON'T touch the crossword!)
Pack of Boddingtons draught cans

Well, I had beter stop there, or you will all be stopped by customs ....

Ouh how I agree with you on the Independent's crossword!! I am an addict I can't guarantee that the chocolate ginger will arrive ...intact...

Will note down your list and deliver to the book shop when I finally get to visit Istanbul soon

The Independent? You lot are very clever I struggle with the Sun's Puzzle pagelol
