ettirgen eylem ---> causative verb

Causative verb in Turkish is formed by adding  -ir-, -tir- or -t onto the Verb Stems.

Never make perminate decisions on temporary feelings.

Hiçbir zaman geçici hisler üzerine kalıcı kararlar almayın.

Kvitova to play Azarenka in final

Sat, 29 Oct 16:50:00 2011

TENNIS 2011 Kvitova - 0

Czech left-hander Petra Kvitova hit back from a set down to beat Samantha Stosur 5-7 6-3 6-3 in a fluctuating semi-final at the WTA Championships in Istanbul and is now one win away from a $1.75 million jackpot and second spot in the rankings

The 21-year-old Wimbledon champion, a debutant at the season-ending showpiece featuring the top eight women in the world after rising from 34th in the rankings in January, will face in-form Belarussian Victoria Azarenka in Sunday´s final.

Azarenka enjoyed a routine 6-2 6-3 victory over Russia´s Vera Zvonareva in the other semi-final and would also claim second place in the year´s final ranking list should she beat Kvitova in the Sinan Erdem Dome on Sunday.

Whoever wins, both look capable of catching world number one Caroline Wozniacki in the new year.

Note : Kvitova is great talent and hope she will win the cup tomorrow.

Quoting Mavili

tşk for the complimentSmile

Doh!, a careless mistake was wrong vowel harmony for -musun? hopefully I will remember next time. And I knew about Ne Kadar, but I would not have thought to add -süredir. For yaşadin I thought to use -di past tense but didn´t know if that would change the context or tense and asking "How long did you live here?" so didn´t know if there was another past ending for it.

 Rica ederim Mavili, actually I added "süredir" onto the sentence to stress the lenght of time.

other ways we turks would ask that question be ;

Ne kadar zamandır burada yaşadın --> "How long did you live here?"

Kaç yıl[sene] burada yaşadın ? ---> How many years did you live here?"

****************************************************************

if that person still lives there ;

Ne zamandır burada yaşıyorsun ? -----> Since when you have been living here.

Kaç yıldır [senedir] burada yaşıyorsun ? ---> How many years you have been living here.

How people treat you is their karma, how you react is yours

İnsanların size karşı nasıl davrandıkları onların kaderidir, sizin onlara nasıl tepki verdiğiniz ise sizin kaderinizdir.

The hard part is not making a decision, its living with it.

Zor olan kısım bir karar vermek değil, onunla yaşamaktır. [ o kararla yaşamaktır ]

Love doesnt walk away people do.

Aşk [Sevgi] uzaklaşıp gitmez, insanlar uzaklaşırlar.

if you really want to do something you will find a way, if not you will find an excuse.

Eğer gerçekten bir şey yapmak istersen bir yolunu bulursun, eğer istemezsen bir bahanesini bulursun.

You never know how strong you are until strong is the only choice you have

Güçlü olmak elinde bulunan tek seçeneğin olana dek  ne kadar güçlü olduğunu hiçbir zaman anlamazsın.
