Quoting Abla

So many unisex names. I can hardly think of any in my mother tongue (even though we don´t have grammatical gender either  -  if these things can be connected, maybe not). Just like there is a deeper meaning in this. Who knows?

---

I came out with one explanation. In Finland they are forbidden. A person´s name must have a male or female flavor.

Are they forbidden ? But why? It doesnt make any sense and actually comic.

Turkish language wil not be hard for you to study & learn because it has lots of Arabic words in it. I´m not sure how many words exactlly but I think about 6000 or more Arabic words . Insallah you will get it easily just practice as much as you can & it wont be hard for you.  Goodluck

That´s right. And there are almost 2000 words that have Turkic origin in Arabic language. It would be more if we get into the dialects. But i dont think all are used in both side. Especially in Turkish, those words are like old words and rarely used. New generation generally doesnt know their meanings. But the ones who are more than 20 know the meaning but they dont use. The ones who are more than 60 use them

And Turkish is hard to learn but Arabic is harder. If you are from Egypt you are luckier cos your dialect has more Turkic origin words than the others.

Goodluck.

Dont be so worried, honestly! İ was so nervous but it really isnt that bad.

When i went, the mum greeted me first and gave me a hug and a kiss on each cheek. The father did the same as well. When i met the nan though, she put her hand out for me to kiss and then put on my forehead (i think this is just respect for elders). But they really do treat you like one of the family so relax!

Ps you mightwant to learn turkish for ´ive had enough´ or ´im full´!!!! Enjoyyy

Yes you should better learn but it doesnt make sense for Turkish mothers.
