I feel very young and unexperienced about cinema when I read this thread. Im making a list of 'must have seen's I caught up a lot the past year, since Kadir is a big filmfreak, but there's so much more!

One that springs to mind for myself now is

- Mar Adentro by Alejandro Amenábar ('İçimdeki deniz').

Does anybody know of an online dictionary for Ottoman Turkish?

We need to 'transcribe' a small text, but I dont have a dictionary yet, which would come in handy since the text doesnt have the diacritic points for consonants!!!

Quoting pagliaccio:

Deli_Kızın - "I do say my boyfriend's name is Kadir! And how about yours?"

Youre not the first to only link that to my username. Its sort of a shame really.
Not to mention him at all would be denying a big part of my life, but I must be blinded by love to have thought I dont talk too much about him.

But who cares. If it wasnt for him, I wouldve never joined this website So count yourselves lucky.

But Im hoping that now that I started university, I will be able to once be remembered as someone who actually posted something valuable

Can somebody give me a definition of national history?

Before we can start our lessons on the history of the Middle East, we are assigned to define some 'general' historical words.

The fact that national history just describes the history of a nation seems too simplistic to me. Has anybody got ideas, personal opinions, on what does and what does not fit in national history?

Ps - Im not trying to get you to go my homework But the lessons we are enrolled in are more discussions as well as definitions etc, so I couldnt think of a better place to discuss but tc
