Hi,

I have 7 days, which place should I spend more time in? Bodrum or Izmir. I am thinking of spending equal time in these 2 places. Need your advice and reccomendation. thanks!

Depends on what you want from you holiday! Do you want to relax near the sea or do you want to take a short city trip?

there is such thing as salty liquorice??!!

Yes, absolutely
I love the "normal" once, but I guess the salty ones are for hardcore liquorice lovers...

Hehe I cant believe we just created a discussion on liquorice on TC

I used to ask my mum for the 'guilder/florin' she kept in her pocket for the alışveris arabası, to go and buy drop

Can somebody tell me if there is a (simple) way to split the yellows from the whites from an egg, without having any special tool for it? Im always ruining 1/3 of my eggs in this process so an advice would be welcome!

Thanks!

all my best regards to a princess of TC

With all due respect, whats up with the nasty comment? I know that princess from your mouth cannot be a compliment and I would not take it so from anyone else either.

I dont know any Buddhist who considers himself religious, neyse I didnt think of the fact that we could also be talking of a non-theistic religion.

culday,
buddhism is not a religion.
are you sure you went to school?

Well I definitely went to school and there I was taught Buddhism is not a religion but a lifestyle based on a certain phylosophy and psychology and the main figure, Buddha, is never seen as divine, but just one of the rare human beings that lead us to enlightment.

Hey, I'm really offended now!

Istanbul is such a poetic city. It's important from where you look at İstanbul.

İstanbul has inspired so many poets and musiciens.

I guess you're not a real İstanbullu!

When I read it, I understood it as a 'poetical freak' instead of a monster really! I understood that he thinks İstanbul is more poetic than İzmir but I could be mistaken here...

Ofcourse you may

Take a look this webpage

Its my favourite kind of sweet, especially 'heksendrop' .. but Ive never found any good 'drop' anywhere else but Holland, or maybe Belgium too. They don't have it in Turkey at all, I was surprized not to find them at eczanes: in Holland drop is used in many throatpastilles and cough-syrups.

There also is a high alcoholic drink in Holland with this taste, Dropshot.

Just found on the internet that some IKEA shops around the world sell drop too! As we have one here in Bornova I might be going there rather soon
