Demagog;
Demos + gogos = Halk avcısı in Latin.
We translate it as "oy avcısı".
In Turkia, you can say I don't like you, I want other party on power, five years later (probably after you said, "Size oy veren ellerim kırılsaydı")

I'm sorry, I don't exactly understand what you meant by Latin, but if you mean the word 'demagogue'/demagog comes from Latin, I consider it as my duty to correc tyou here

It comes from ancient greek From the words:
demos = the people
agogos = leading

It doesn't really matter, but maybe there are other people out there, like me, who like to know the origin of certain words. I like the origin to be correct

I agree with Aenigma. As a matter of fact I feel a bit weird for agreeing Because Aenigma definitely spoils a lot of threads (no offense ablam), and I became quite good at it too.. but we don't open the threads itself somehwere in a 'topiced forum'. Love indeed is a very poetic subject, but giving the fact that this is a website for Turkish Language, I reckon that the Poetry and Literature section is meant for Turkish poetry, Turkish poets, Turkish writers, book reviews etc, whether they are famous or not.

So no offense to you either, as you have lively, friendly and positive topics everywhere (so good to see a bright soul like that), but when I look for an 'offtopic' subject, I look in the 'offtopic forum'. When I look for Poetry and Literature, I will also look at that section. And when I want to find something in a thread that hasn't been used to much lately, I will search for it in a forum that I think is most likely to host it.

You might want to consider to post things that haven't got to do directly with Turkey in the off-topic section

Quoting goner:

turkish women are great but before giving birth
then they can easily get fat...

I think this goes for most of the women though..

Whenever I complain about my belly (of which my friends say there barely is one.. but i definitely see it!!!), he says he will have real fun when I watch my weddingdress to realize that I don't fit in it anymore after giving birth to a beautiful baby, and then quote me by saying 'Nothing is perfect honey'.. But actually I think it sounds quite perfect. I just won't tell him to keep the peace

To three wonderful women who I feel honoured to call my friends…

A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.-- Walter Winchell

This is Kadir's favourite quote together with Edmund Burkes' 'The only reason for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing' (and this is the one that made me finally add him at msn instead of deleting his message . (im not sureif i got the quote well )

Well if you mean msn-mobile, by having an msn-mobile status isntead of regular offline.. it means if you click them, you can send them an sms via msn. But they have to pay for that, so I never understand why someone would choose that option?

Hey, I was wandering through the pages, and I saw a girl called Lauren. She looks like she's 15, and as well her bf! And she had a baby last year! What's this! It's so easy to have a baby there like dolls?!

Getting a baby is pretty easy everywhere in the world It more has to do with an irresponsible attitude of the girls in question, which i find not that hard to imagine, keeping Ceyda's story in the back of my mind!
