Quoting susie k:

Its a dance performed by the Efes men who were very strong men! They basically never smiled and spent the majority of their time in the mountains. They were fearless and won many battles!

This dance symbolises this.

Hahahaha sounds like a pretty freaky dance

Maybe someone just clicked it 5 times because the page wouldn't load? Or did that happen with more senders?

I haven't got that problem, but I do have another one: I can't find the time to reply the people the way they deserve. Ohhh I promise all of them they will get a long PM after my holiday, andif they feel bad they must PM me their addresses, then I promise to send a postcard from Izmir.
I'm so sorry.

I'm thinking that it is so weird to have a big summerclean of your house, picking out the stuff you will pack because you will move to Türkiye in 2 months!!

A weird, but fantastic feeling.

I do think 'sevimli' comes from the word 'sevmek'.. they are just related like 'to love' and 'lovable' are related.
But I don't think it is built up from certain suffixes that can be used on other verb-stems too.. I hope this answers your question Bod.

Hope someone translates this fast for you because it sounds serious.

She says she thinks you don't want to marry her and I think she also said she's getting tired of all of it. It's about payments for the wedding and that if you don't have faith / don't trust it.. then maybe you shouldn't marry at all.

Sezen Aksu (the old albums)
TeomaN
Mustafa Sandal
Gülşen
Tarkan
Gökhan Özen

Can't really recommend you any albums.. but the ones I mentioned are popular, so I would check out their newest songs.

If you want to listen Turkish music to learn Turkish, I recommend you Teoman (his lyrics are quite beautiful and not too difficult constructed). Sezen Aksu on the other hand, she has amazing breahtaking songs and lyrics.. but they are pretty difficult to understand if you are just learning.. I still get them translated too

The popular singers like Mustafa Sandal and Gülşen don't seem to take grammar and word order too serious.. so not all of their 'hot' songs are suitable for studying.

Fluid Conduction by Anouk

I've been sleeping all day
Slummin' all night in a 44 hour sedation
Since the day you cut me out of your life
The night I killed your patience

Always tried to lie to you
The truth is that I love you
I need you more than anything
Without you I discover, I'm a maniac and a menace
Headin' for destruction

Your lips, I miss your tears your hips your piss your blood
The way you function
Maybe I should thank some god for your
amazing fluid conduction

It was max, the king of facts
He made me steal for your number
I promised not to tell on him
But you know me I'm a sucker

Always tried to lie to you
The truth is that I love you
I need you more than anything
Without you I discover, I'm a maniac and a menace
Headin' for destruction

Your lips, I miss your tears your hips your piss your blood
The way you function
Maybe I should thank some god for your
amazing fluid conduction
Your kiss, I miss your tears your fingertips my satisfaction
I swear that I could thank some god for your amazing fluid conduction

Quoting bod:

I have noticed this with a few verb forms......
Such as anlamadım being used to mean "I don't understand" instead of its literal translation of "I didn't understand".

Some verbs seem to have a different meaning when used in aorist or present continuous tenses - I guess that is something else that can only be gained by exposure to the language!

Aaaaaah that was the example I was looking for!!! Anlamadım, I always need that one and now I couldn't remember it. Thanks
