So, if you mean The packet you sent hasn't come yet, it would be Gönderdiğin paket daha gelmedi where gönderdiğin paket is a subject and takes no suffix. However, if you use a relative clause as an object, you have to remember to add the direct object suffix, as in Gönderdiğin paketi daha almadım (i.e. onu almadım). When used in the dative case it becomes Gönderdiğin pakete bakayım (ona bakayım).

You have understood this part correctly. It is used in the dative case in the last example since the verb bakmak takes dative (-e bakmak). You look 'at' something. We use dative in place of 'in', 'at', 'on'.

On the following thread when explaining tenses I have included both singular and plural conjugations for third person plural. The tendency is towards using singular.

This is my love's favourite poet, and has become mine as well He had a book with all Veli's poetry, which he read in Turkish to me, then translated them.

There is one about a ship, i forgot the title, does someone know? I could ask Kadir as well ofcourse, but I'd like to text it to him in Türkçe

Dear Friends;
You know Turkey has 2 parts:
Turkey = (Turkey - Deli_kizin ) + Deli_kizin
Deli_kizin = Turkey - (Turkey - Deli_kizin )
Deli_kizin = Turkey - Turkey + Deli_kizin
Deli_kizin = Deli_kizin
(I am afraid that other part of Turkey is not enough for all class members)

I feel flattered

I didn't read all the pages of this forum yet. But I read Turkish poetry. I read Turkish literature. I listened Turkish songs. I ate Turkish food. I breathed Turkish air. I sang Turkish songs. I tried to speak Turkish words. I saw Turkish landscapes. I felt Turkish heartwarming people. I drank fresh orange juice on the street. I felt the sea upon my lips, just from walking on the boulevard.

No, I didn't read all the pages. No, I don't understand the Turkish culture. No, I cannot really speak Turkish. No, I never worked under Turkish job-circumstances. No, I never spent a winter in Türkiye. No, I never saw the poor ones in Istanbul. No, I don't know Türkiye like a native does. No, I do not wish to pretend I know Türkiye.

Yes, I am in love and I care about nothing!

Hehehe the Lello_in_love message was mine On an old account of which I lost the password

And don't get me wrong in this post Ofcourse I think it is important to learn the country, the culture, the language and its people And yes I do care about the social life and the politics. I'm just saying, loving something will pour sweetness over the bitterness. When one is hungry, one will eat. And I feel this hunger to get to know Türkiye like a native, I want to become part of Türkiye. And no one is gonna stop me

Can someone correct my translation of Hayalperest?

Quoting janissary:

yes deli_kizin you are perfect. good translation

hayalperest
Daydreamer

O kadar haklısın ki
You are so right

Dayanamıyorum buna
I can't take this

O kadar güzelsin ki
You are so beautiful

Çok çirkin kaldım yanında
On your side I remained very ugly (next to you I look even more ugly , free interpretation)

Korkum yaralanman hayatta
I'm scared to get hurt in life

O kadar yalnızsın ki
You are so lonely

Dayanamıyorum buna
I can't take this

O kadar sıcaksın ki
You are so warm (hot?)

Çok soğuk kaldım yanında
At your side i remain very cold (next to you I look so cold)

Korkum yaralanman hayatta
I'm scared to get hurt in life

Hayalperestsin, güzel hayaller peşinde
You are a daydreamer, you are following beautiful fantasies what is pesinde??

Çok gençsin, yanlış insanlar kalbinde
You're very young, there are there are wrong persons in your heart

Hayalperestsin, güzel hayaller peşinde
You are a daydreamer, you are following beautiful dreams

Çok gençsin, çok gerçeksin
You are very young, you are very real

Bu yüzden çok güzelsin
Therefore you are very beautiful

This is a beautiful song too (doesn't it remind you of anyone, Janissary..)

Teoman was OK though.

Only ok I really love his music and his words, for as far as i understand them

I agree with you on the abuse of language, tho i ofcourse don't really hear it in Turkish yet. The music gives me a summerfeelign and they are on my ipod as i take it with me when i go for a run in the park.. their music is very good to run on (tarkan, mustafa sandal, gökhan özen and gülsen don't make you wanna lay in the grass and listen to the beauty of their music, which happens if i listen Sezen or Nilüfer Then i just wanna sit and listen).
