Yes!
I added -iyor-um
But used a different verb........
vadetmek - to promise
I'm guessing this is an obsolete verb???

vadetiyorum - I promise ???

Yeah - there is an English belief (now mostly died out) that the number of red roses you give to your lover is the number if months of the forthcoming year that you will be together........hence why you should always give a dozen!!!

It is now acceptable to give 1 or 6 as well but any other number would be considered strange at best

When is sağol used and when would you use teşekkür or teşekkürler. Are they actually interchangable and, perhaps more importantly, is there anywhere that it would be inappropriate to use any of them?

Does Türkçe have distinct forms of the laguage for use in different settings and occasions? Most languages seem to but many have been diluted over time.

For example, would you hear a different linguistic form of Türkçe in a court to you would read in a newspaper?

Yes - that would be nice. I might be able to help out with that in a few weeks - I have exams next week so little time to do very much at the moment.

The reason for the question is that I am trying to create a custom keyboard layout that doesn't affect the English layout in any way. But one that allows anyone typing in Turkish as a second language, to easily access all the Turkish specific characters. I created a first draft last night then realised I had left out all the capitals

Once I am happy with it I will make the installer package generally available complete with instructions on installation and use.

http://www.seslisozluk.com lists é as a possible letter in Turkish words which is where I got the idea that it needed including.
