An idea to cook baklava maybe this weekend suddenly came to my mind I have found lots of recipes on the net. But I was struck by the fact that the measurement units used in those recipes are pounds (that's actually ok, as I can always find what a pound is in grams) but also CUPS :-S

It is absolutely uncommon for Russia to use these units

Has anybody please got any idea of how many grams or millilitres there are in one 'cup'??

as far as i can understand, the structure is like this:

ala > almak (to get)
bilir > can
miyim > indicates the question and refers to the person asking
