I think it should be ´onun ismi Mehmet´but the ´onun´ is not strictly necessary.

(isim is one of the nouns in Turkish that drop their final vowel before adding any suffixes beginning with a vowel)

We say ´see you in a bit´  which means ´see you a bit later´  ( sonra görüþürüz)

Is that what you meant?
