bahçeniz var - [bahçe-niz var] You have a garden, You have got a garden
þiþeleri var - [þiþe-leri var] They have a bottle, They have got a bottle
Negative Examples - yok - there is not.. have not got..

köpeðin yok - [köpeð-in yok] You do not have a dog, You have not got a dog
arabasý yok - [araba-s-ý yok] He/she doesn´t have a car, He has not got a cat

Quoting Inscrutable

What is the verb to have in Turkish, and how ould one say " I have Turkish friends" Thank you

There isn´t a verb as such-var and yok(for- don´t have) are used.

So if you want to say ´I have a friend´ put the personal ending on friend=arkadaþým + var

Similarly for you ´arkadaþýN var=you have a friend.

I have Turkish friends=Türk arkadaþlarým var.

Hope this helps

(Historically bella´s friend has always written in the infinitive form because he thinks it´s easier to understand)

I think like you sonunda.

So what´s the meaning of "we had toast to eat"?

Is it "yiyecek olarak tostumuz vardý" ?

(sonunda, as a lady your translation deserves a flowerpot )

Thank you kind sir.

(I think she just meant ´we ate toast´
