• Aşağı tükürsen sakal, yukarı tükürsen bıyık. ---> [Literal translation: If you spit downwards, it hits the beard, if you spit upwards, the mustache.]

Meaning: Either way, the situation is bad.

Bir elin nesi var, iki elin sesi var.

• Literal translation: What does one hand have? Two hands make a sound. [You can´t get a clapping sound by a single hand)
• Meaning: People produce more or better work if they cooperate]

Damlaya damlaya göl olur.

• Literal translation: Drop by drop the lake is formed.
• Meaning: From little acorns, mighty oak trees grow
• Save by little by little then one day your savings will be huge amount.

Eyvallah -----[slang but not rude ] its another way to say " thank you ". This word is used by men. Its more like man to man talking word.

What are you studying ? ----> Ne okuyorsun ?

Memleket or Memleketin neresi ?-----> Where is your homeland [motherland] ?

Hemşehri [Hemşeri] ----->  fellow countryman, person from the same part of the country

[O] benim hemşerim. [ He/She comes from the same part of the country]

Note : The idiom "kafayı yemek" fits here in Turkish. But I dont think it would fit in English.

In english that would be " to go nuts"
