So actually, this is one of my biggest theological issues as a Christian. God layed down these laws, but they were changed by man. I don't know where, but I think there are probably Christians that still practice this.

Quoting Elisabeth:

The belief that it is ok to eat pork actually came from Jesus himself. I think (but I am not sure because its been more than a few decades since bible school) that in the Gospel of St. John that Jesus said something to the effect....why would you abstain from pork and observe all your other religious laws (like ritual ablution) and still be full of sin? (I am paraphrasing)...anyway, it is a Christian belief that God does not judge you by the contents of your stomach, or the cleanliness of your hands/feet, ect....but by the contents of your soul.

Fish on Fridays (year round) was within both of our lifetimes Elizabeth. So that isn't entirely accurate.

Actually that's true Keith. I know a few people from Ethiopia who do not eat pork, are circumcised and keep dietary laws pretty consistant with Mosaic laws. A interesting thing with them, from what I have been told is they only get one marriage, even if their spouse dies, they are not allowed to remarry. I'm not sure if that is their official creed, but from the few I have spoken to, that is what they told me.

Actually that is a doctrine that was promoted by the Catholic Church but has no biblical basis. I was merely trying to point out the biblical reasons of why Christians can eat pork. You know as well as I do that there is a huge difference between church law and biblical facts.

Does anyone know?

Christians eat pork (disgusting). They worship 3 different Gods, they pray to idols.

Crusaders were killers.

They can have sex everywhere and with everyone.
....

Yay!! Another resurrected member!!!

Keith...please don't even try denying your crusader activities! I saw you this very weekend with your armour, sword, and little axe! You were headed in an easterly direction mumbling something about wanting a condo in Jerusalem!
