                              ban|a yardım et|ti|n ´you helped me´

The red part tells you two things:

1. It is a definite item or thing, not any face or any bag but a certain one.

2. The item or thing is the target of the action. The washing is directed to the face, the taking is directed to the bag. In grammatical terms, it is the object of the action and the name of the case is accusative.

                               bütün millet ´the whole nation´

                               milletin bütünü ´the whole of the nation´

But combined with a plural noun it makes ´all´:

                                bütün milletler ´all the nations´

                                milletlerin bütünü ´all of the nations´ (right?)

But how do you say ´whole/complete nations´?
