I didn´t recognize the word gayri until you showed its origin. Of course.

There was another funny Arabicism is my sentences, did you notice? They pronounce jumhuriyyah with plosive g- (like in the English gossip) here in Egypt, that´s why I wrote cumhurbaşkanı with g- also. It looked like a typo but it was not.

If I could attach pictures I would serve you a big cup of tea after this job, tunci, but as I can´t you will have to settle for my sincere thanks.

I am happy about the structures, they were mostly in their places. But choosing the correct vocabulary for each purpose seems to stay an impossible task for me. I will always stay the shabby woman with the funny language.

One thing only paid my attention in your corrections: the dictionary gives müslüman and claims

Quote:turkishdictionary.net

müslim formerly
1. (a) Muslim.
2. Muslim, Islamic.
What is the difference?

My try for the last part:

6

We are going to Saxon Switzerland by boat.

İsviçreyinin sakson sandalda gidiyoruz

İsviçre’deki Sakson’a gemiyle gidiyoruz.

(ile is used for vehicles. Dative case is used for going somewhere, Henry explained the use of ‘ above.)

7

Dresden is one of the most interesting and one of the nicest towns.

Dresden en ilginç ve en bir iyi şehir için iyi şehirlerde

Dresden, en ilginç ve en güzel şehirlerden biri.

(Look at the structure –lerden biri ’one of the –s’.)

8

Come back next year.

gelecek yılda geri gelecksin

Gelecek yıl geri gel.

(As a thumb rule, you can drop case endings from time expressions like this. Remember separately those which need case endings. Imperative sg 2nd = verb root.)

9

A visit to the zoo would be nice.

Bir hayvanat bahçesi ziyaretin iyi mi?

Hayvanat bahçesi ziyaret iyi olur.

(There is talk about a definite place > no bir. And it’s not a question, dear.)

10

Dresden has got nice surroundings.

İyi ortam Dresdende var

Dresden’in güzel bir çevresi var.

(nifrtity, go study possessive construction X+ gen - Y+ possessive suffix - var/yok. It is not difficult and you need it a lot.)

I think I am going to give it a try:

Life is strange: sometimes people who you believe to be so high that you cannot crane enough to reach them may actually be so low that you cannot stoop deep enough to reach them.
