So what is the meaning of yapar vallahi? As I couldn´t understand it I tried to connect it to the previous text...

Now that you mentioned it...yes, I have noticed.

This was difficult for me and there are probably mistakes (plus a couple of white places in the end):

My dear, as I told you everything is going to be fine. Soon I am going to do away with those who intervene. If some curious idiots watch what we are writing to each other they will see. In any case I am saying openly very soon I will really balance the accounts with you once more. Your fear of me will make it impossible for you to open those mouths of yours, I promise you.

XXX we say let the jealous get mad.

May XXX get mad.

Eek, a whole dictionary article in two languages. To be honest, I didn´t think it would be this much work. But eventually I believe it might be possible to see some kind of orderliness in these idioms. Like here, there is a concrete level of ´coming from behind´ and the second level of abstraction, i.e. time, ´happening right after´.

What in your opinion makes a pronoun, scalpel? Is it the possessive suffix? Does this mean postpositions are inflexible like adjectives? I am asking because I have been thinking about this a lot while writing these texts.

Another thing is if it is important to know it or not. From a learner´s view I sometimes feel like it is enough to know what is an adjective and what is not.

It looks to me like a line which has been drawn to water  -  I don´t know if you have this saying or not but maybe you understand what I mean.

It looks too bad. Thank you for your help, gokuyum. The corrections are very clear and most of them I understood as soon as I saw them. I have been very careless.

Notes:

1. Minibüsler öyle korkunç bir şekilde sürüyor ki…: Don’t vehicles drive themselves in Turkish (in many languages they do)?

2. bir yabancı gibi görünüyorsan…: It seems to me that present continuos tense is widely used in expressions of feelings and sensory perception. Am I right?

3. turist polisine geçirmeni tehmin götürmekle tehdit et; Kadınlar sürücünün yanında oturmaktan sakınmalılar: I can’t really understand the division or labour between me- and mek-infinitives. Is it something that can be understood or is it a lexical question (certain verbs govern words with certain forms and that’s all there is to it)?

Well, you must be a talent, zizoo.

I was in Turkey twenty years ago and I don´t know a single Turk.

And by the way, I am not Egyptian.

Thanks, Mavili. I guess you understood my problem. I look at this Turkish idiom and have no idea what it might mean. Then I see the English translation  -  a verb with fourteen different meanings. At that point it looks like I can´t get further by myself. Actually I think the knot may be opened from either side. I will take a closer look at your explanations as soon as possible.
