How to live the life that makes you happy?

By not controlling your life and your time. Even thinking about that makes me unhappy!

This sounds really delicious!! I´m going to plan to try this this weekend. Thank you!!

´you´re going to plan to try´ Good luck to you

It´s pretty easy Though I must admit that the first time I burnt the bottom of the pan and also put too much rice, which makes it really disgusting if you ask me. I stopped adding rice altogether as an alternative

İngredients:

- 2 kilograms of spinach (I prefer to put more though)

- 1 chopped onion

-  1/2 spoon of pepper paste (or tomato if you dont want it spicy)

- 1 or 2 tiny sliced green or red peppers

- 1 tomato, sliced in cubes

- black pepper, salt, red pepper (kırmızı pul biberi)

- a small handfull of rice

- minced meat, as much as you like, or don´t put it at all

- a few table spoons of olive oil

Preparation

- mix the chopped onions and peppers well with the pepper paste and put in a pan

- clean the spinach thoroughly, cut off hard edges

- add the spinach on top of the onion-mix

- add the tomatoes on top of this

- sprinkle black pepper, salt and red pepper

- clean the rice and put on top

- put the minced meat on top of this or leave it all out)

- pour the oil over the dish

- put the pan on the fire and cook for a good half an hour on small fire

The dish is ready when the spinach has become soft and dark green (cooked ) and the rice has gone soft. Stir gently. And be carefull to keep the fire low, otherwise your dish will get burned. Now there are variations, most people I know first fry the onions and then add the other ingredients, I used to do it that way too, but by putting the ingredients raw and putting the oil on top of it, I found that the onions become less greasy this way.

Oh and this goes really nice with garlic yoghurt

As for the minced meat: you can leave it out totally (or use soya-minced meat as my housemate does, but I dont recommend it ), put in just minced meat, or do as I do: I first knead 1 clove of crushed garlic and a bit of cumin into the meat and then put it on the spinach.

Afiyet olsun

It can be confusing though! I remember I once went to meet the parents of a close friend and was told not to smoke there. When his mother cut her finger during cooking, I got a bit dizzy (sensitive when it comes to blood {#emotions_dlg.confused}) and was sent to the balcony to get some fresh air. His grandmother (a very old, sweet lady) sat there, smoking thin cigarettes. She handed me one, saying it would calm my nerves. I rejected to be then whispered in my ear that denying something the elders offer you is even more rude So there I had my shot of nicotine with an old turkish lady

When everything is bad remember everything will get better. I love you more than words can say. You always on my mind. I miss you so much you do not know.

Her şeyin kötü olduğu zaman, hatırla ki, herşey daha iyi olacak. Seni sözler söylemeyecek kadar seviyorum. Hep aklımdasın. Seni ne kadar özlediğimi bilemezsin bile.

Yeah, I´m also interested to know how objective such series would be. Considering that these are relatively new events (and Turkey hasn´t settled even some of the old ones yet). It seems to be a great sign though..

Well, some of the prisoners in Diyarbakır are Kurdish, and in the series they speak Kurdish with each other, one of the main characters even sings a song in Kurdish. These may seem small, but I see it as a major improvement.

I know someone who was arrested and has spend some time in prison during this coup, and from him I know of the extensive torturing. We had talked about it lots (he was able to escape to the netherlands), but seeing it on tv made me feel a little weird.

Thread: Domates yemeği / Tomato dish - very easy and delicious!

Ingredients

- 300 grams of ´kuşbaşı´-cut meat (lamb or beef, whatever you prefer)

- 1 onion

- lots of green pepper (bell pepper or a hot kind, according to taste, and by saying lots: just how much you prefer in the dish, i usually put about 4 sivri biber and 2 çarliston biberi)

- muuuuch tomatoes

- 3 teaspoons salt

- tablespoon of olive oil

Preparation

- chop the onions and peppers, peel the skin off the tomatoes and cut into cubes

- heat the oil in a cooking pan and add the mid, stir-fry untill brown on the outside

- add the vegetables according to how you cut: first the onions, then the peppers, then the tomatoes

- add salt

- close the lid and cook on small fire.  DONE

The reason I didnt gave exact amounts of the vegetables is that it is a bit according to what you like and also the size of your pan You can obviously add more meat, but I prefer it to be with a lot of tomatoes, others prefer more meat.

You can do the same dish with minced meat, but in that case you stir-fry it together with the chopped onions and pepper, and then add the tomatoes and salt, again, leave for cooking
