thanx

Who they are, I´d say. Anyway, I can learn. But I must tell you something about you that is engaging my attention for two years. I become sad for some events and can not easily forget. I´m still feeling bad. We had an unnecessary argument. I, normally, like each student of mine. But the active enthusiasm of first two years was special for me. And following sore enthusiasm was special too. I´m saying these very frankly. The words which I said in good faith, but were understood wrong because I might not make correct sentences, still make me sad. I wanted you to know that.

I love going to sleep with you and waking up in the morning seeing your face.

I love your voice and get so happy when you sing songs to me

I love you because you taught me the true meaning of love

I love you because everytime I look at you my heart skips a beat

I love you because you mean the world to me

I love you because you always say what I need to hear

I love your good sense of humor

I love you – your eyes sparkle everytime you look at me

I love you because you bring the best out of me

Seninle uyumayý ve sabah kalkýnca yüzünü görmeyi seviyorum.

Sesini ve bana þarkýlar söyleyip de mutlu olmayý seviyorum.

Seni seviyorum çünkü bana aþkýn gerçekte ne demek olduðunu öðrettin.

Seni seviyorum çünkü sana her baktýðýmda kalbim küt küt atýyor.

Seni seviyorum çünkü sen benim için dünyalara bedelsin.

Seni seviyorum çünkü hep duymam gerekeni söylüyorsun.

Senin espri anlayýþýný seviyorum.

Seni seviyorum çünkü bana her baktýðýnda gözlerin parlýyor

Seni seviyorum çünkü içimdeki cevheri çýkartýyorsun.

if you don´t mind me asking-what other languages are you fluent in? And did you go to school to learn those languages, or is that part of your heritage or what? Please explain, because I´ve been wondering about that, for quite some time

Sormamýn bir sakýncasý yoksa, baþka hangi dilleri akýcý konuþabiliyorsun? Bu dilleri öðrenmek için kursa gittin mi, yoksa bu sana baþkasýndan kalan bir þey mi? Lütfen açýkla çünkü ne zamandýr bunu merak ediyorum.

Quoting Bagira

Hi,

I have just begun studying turkish and there are some things that are not quite clear to me. I would appreciate very much if u could help me:

My questions are the following:

 1.) Sen zayýfsýn.
Or: Sen bir zayýfsýn
which is one is correct?

2.) O zayýf.  (without adding the suffix “dir&rdquo
But: Sen zayýfsýn.( with suffix “ sýn&rdquo
Why????

3.) O kadýn. (without any suffix)
But: Ben bir kadýným(with the suffix “ým&rdquo
Does it mean that the 3-d person singular he/she /it does not require the suffix :”dir”?

Thank u very much in advance.

Merhaba,

Welcome to Turkish Class and good luck in learning Turkish. I´ll try to answer your questions.

1)  ´Sen zayýfsýn´ is the correct one. Because adjective verbs do not take ´bir´ before them. Same as in English.

Ex 1: Sen zayýfsýn - You´re slim

It is not ´You´re a slim´

Ex 2: Bu renk kýrmýzý - This colour is red

It is not ´This colour is a red´

However you can add ´bir´ before noun verbs.

Ex: Bu bir araba - This is a car.

2 & 3) They have the same answer and you already said that. 3rd person singular does not get a pronoun suffix. You can add -dir at the end, if you want.

I know what an eclipse is - I am saying that I have never heard the Turkish word gökb - can a ´b´ follow a ´k´ in Turkish?  I wondered if you had mistyped it.

Because there is no word as ´gökb´. Eclipse means tutulma. We say güneþ tutulmasý for solar eclipse, and ay tutulmasý for lunar eclipse.

I love being kissed on my forehead by you

I love feeling safe in your arms

I love when you wipe away my tears

I love when you hold my hand

I love when you talk about our future

I love when you wake me up in the middle of the night, just to give me a good hug

I love your smile, and seeing you laugh

I love being next to you

I love everything you are for me

I love feeling your heart beat faster when we hug

Alnýmýn senin tarafýndan öpülmesini seviyorum

Kollarýnda güvende hissetmeyi seviyorum

Gözyaþlarýmý silmeni seviyorum

Elimi tutmaný seviyorum

Geleceðimiz hakkýnda konuþmaný seviyorum

Gecenin bir yarýsýnda beni uyandýrýp, bana güzelce sarýlmaný seviyorum

Gülüþünü seviyorum ve güldüðünü görmeyi

Senin yanýnda olmayý seviyorum

Benim için her þey olmaný seviyorum *

Sarýldýðýmýzda kalp atýþýnýn hýzlanmasýný hissetmeyi seviyorum

* I´m not sure about this one.

Help to Translate this text:

Eagle: Again he is stealing my moment of fame with the ladies

The Tiger: Hey ladies! see I got an Eagle on my arms, I am so daring. These black claws can kill way before they strike!

I don´t know if they are proper names but I´ll translate them as well:

Kartal: Yine benim deðerli vaktimi bayanlarla harcýyor.

Kaplan: Bayanlar! Gördüðünüz gibi kullarýmýn üstünde bir kartal var, ne kadar da cesurum. Bu siyah pençeler daha vurmadan öldürebilir.

You who have so much....

How could you bring yourself to think of me...

Beauty is one thing but status is another

You have a proud way about you

And it is a great thing

But understand....

Everyone is not so fortunate

As to have had the experiences you´ve had

I will take my bow

The presentation is done

Although very short

My heart you won....

(Thank you in advance.. I know it is long a bit)

My try:

Sen, çok fazla þeyi olan...

Beni düþünmek için kendini nasýl ikna edebiliyorsun?

Güzellik bir þeydir fakat durum da bir baþkasý

Kendin için çok gurur verici bir yolun var

Ve bu harika bir þey

Ama bir þeyi anla...

Herkes bu kadar þanslý deðil

Senin sahip olduðun tecrübelere sahip olamayacak kadar

Eðilerek selamýmý vereceðim

Sunum bitti

Çok kýsa olmasýna raðmen

Kalbim, sen kazandýn...

i am also missing you very much,  i told you about hospital but maybe you did not understand me.

really i am ok

i am back to work tomorow only light duties.

i miss talking to you,

i have lots to tell you,

i have 10 days holiday which i have to use before december 31st when do you think you will take your hoilday?

Ben de seni çok özlüyorum. Sana hasteneden bahþettim belki anlattýklarýmý anlamamýþtýn.

Gerçekten iyiyim.

Yarýn tekrar iþe baþlayacaðým, sadece hafif görevler yapacaðým.

Seninle konuþmayý özledim

Sana anlatacak çok þeyim var

10 gün iznim var, o günler aralýk ayýn 31inden önce kullanmam lazým, sence sen iznini ne zamana ayarlayacaksýn ?

Well, I think this person is a man so I´ll continue with that.

- He said "maybe you did not understand me." It was simple past tense, so it was "anlamadýn" and there was "maybe" but he said it instead of "I think." So I translated it as "galiba" which is how we say it too.

- He said "light duties." We mostly use "hafif iþler" so I used that one. No big deal.

- He said "i have 10 days holiday which i have to use before december 31st." The sentence after "holiday" is the subject, so I write it before "holiday" and it becomes "31 Aralýk´tan önce kullanmam gereken 10 günlük bir iznim var."

- And the last sentence "when do you think you will take your hoilday?" If there is "sence" at the beginning, the verb will be simple present tense (geniþ zaman) in this sentence. Well, you may see someone using another tense for this situation, but the proper tense is this one.

I don´t know if I can explain you well. I hope I could...
