Hello everyone)) I am new to this language! I really want to learn Turkish. There is this song that i like by Sagopa Kajmer..but unfortanitly dont know anything he says maybe a few words but that is about it.. Ok here it is.

Bu dilden firar eden her söz, yaydan çikmis ok gibi
Sözler bazen bir hazine bazen dermansiz bir dert tipi
Geçmis dünden bahsetmek lezzetsiz
Gelmemis yarindan hep mi sikayetçiyiz biz

Its a long one: I've only got time for the first bit now!

Every word that escapes from your mouth is like an arrow shot from a bow
Sometimes words are a treasure house, sometimes a trouble hat has no remedy
To talk about yesterday that has passed has no taste
Are we always complainers about tomorrow that is in the future?

Thread: this is short!

HEP GÜLÜMSEYİN WE GARSONLARA BAHŞİŞ BIRAKINNN..

What does it mean??^^

The words are right, but it is in the instruction/order tense:

Always smile, and always tip the waiters...

On another forum I have encountered what seems to be a translation of Turkish (Good morning after dinner). Is this a familiar expression in Turkish? If so, when is it used? Or is it just one person's way of being sarcastic?

Many thanks!

Tünaydın is used in the afternoon, often as a bit of a joke. It can also be used if someone is slow on the uptake, and you are being sarcastic about it.

You say you spent 400 pounds. Do you know how much I spent? If you love someone money doesn't matter. I love you from my heart, but I am not sure about you.

You popped up again one night
We did not talk like those deeply in love
Nor did we cry together like star-crossed lovers
Our eyes made a pact together once more
There wasa tiredness in my spirit, a longing within me
I was heading towards the unknown time when I would lose you
I was heading off, giving greetings for the last time,
To leave me on a road, at the start of a road.

Agree. Sorry, I read it like "Ne aşıklar gibi konuştuk!" i.e. How we talked like aşıklar!

Will correct ...

Sen tekrar karsima ciktin, bir gece
Ne asiklar gibi konustuk
Ve nede aglastik mecnunlar gibi
Anlaşan yine gözlerimizdi
Ruhumda bir yorgunluk icimde bir hasret vardi
Seni kaybedecegim mechul zamana gidiyordum
Gidiyordum son defa selamlayarak
Birakip kendimi bir yol, bir yol agzinda

I dont have enough vases to put them in! Just plant me a field full of wild poppies, or a rose garden ... my favourite.
