Yep, you got it! Here is the full text:

Yes, I'll be sent to Istanbul. I won't do all of my military service there, one month later it will change again. It is like that in Turkey. Maybe I can stay in Istanbuş, but they could send me to another place. It is not clear. But in the end it will be over and me can be together. i.e. happy days await us. I love you.

Çünkü ben kütüphanecilik yapıyorum

Hi Waseem

This sentence makes sense, but I think it would be more stylish to say: Çünkü ben kütüphaneciyim.

even smarter, combine the two sentences:

Kütüphaneci olduğum için kitap seçmek için Kitap Fuarına gittim.

Thanks Elisabeth. Maybe someone else knows?

I got another one: allah belami verdi zaten.

The first part means 'May Allah curse you', (I think) but what does 'zaten' mean?

And more: sen beni hic anlamdin ki

allah cursed me as it is..
sen beni hic anlamdin ki=you have never understood me.

"Allah cursed me" is a bit strong in English! Like being damned to Hell forever. Maybe, "Allah gave me my just desserts" or "Allah gave me what I deserve" would be more appropriate.

Quoting angellover:

You would help so much if you could translate that:

What I mean is that I want Oguz to be a good father to his daughter. I ll always support that. I dont want to be a mother to her.

I think if he is a good man, he needs to take responsabilities for his daughter, what does not mean he needs to be married with somebody he does not love.

Thanks,

Demek istediğim şu ki: Oğuzun kızına iyi bir baba olmasını istiyorum. Her zaman buna desteklerim. Ona annelik yapmak istemiyorum.

MUTLULUKTAN BASKA?

Hi Cyber! This is a bit of a petic form of grammar. I am not sure I get it right in English, (what do you think would happen?) so left it for Ayla! She hasn't tried, so here goes, with apologies if I miss something in the Turkish:

What do you think would happen if you don't keep your distance?
What do you think would happen if you don't keep your heart under tight lock and key
What do you think would happen if you allowed your feelings free rein
What do you think would happen if you don't cast me aside

What do you think would happen if you didn't say "stop"
What do you think would happen if you didn't say "go"
What do you think would happen if you didn't say "it's over"
What do you think would happen if you didn't want me to hate you
What do you think will be? Nothing but happiness?

bir kişi içiyorsa değil ağlıyorsa değil şiir yazıyorsa aşıktır... i don't know what this means... could you help me out? thanks a bunch

my try is

if someone drinking, its not, if someone crying, its not, but if he/she write poem, he/she is in love..

i am not sure this is correct

Correct! Just not too stylish English!

A person it is not in love if they drink, or if they cry, but if they write a poem.

Appropriate one for you, I think, cyber - you're a great poet!
