tebrikler Fenerbahçe it was good match but without spectators seems just like model-singers. there is picture but no sound. this is against football´s spirit.

Totaly agree. Without spectators, it feels like a "mahalle maçı" type of  game.

Fenerbahçe set for first-ever European semis after 1-1 draw in Rome

Fenerbahçe made history April 11, qualifying for the first time in the Europa League semifinals, after a 1-1 draw against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. The two-goal advantage from last week´s first game was finally enough on aggregate for the Yellow Canaries as Lazio, deprived of its notoriously fervent fans due to a ban, failed to force the game to extra time just when it appeared that the momentum was on their side.

Note : Congratulations Fenerbahçe !!  We all want to see you in the Final !!!  I am proud of you as a Galatasaray fan and as a TURK !

BRAVO YELLOW CANARIES !!!! Smile

No idea really.

But I found the story about Abdülhamit tembeli in Eksi sözlük. Maybe it is something similar, some people who are fena halde lazy.

We call this type of  phrases as "Lafzî olan izâfet" [izafet-i lafzıyye] [verbal way of phrase [in other words the phrase that is used carelessly, without giving enough importance to it while saying]

its initial form was ;

Tembel  Ali ---> Lazy Ali

then swap the elements ;

Ali   Tembel -->  Ali  is  lazy

added  possessive [i] onto  the adjective [tembel] ;

Ali  Tembeli  --->  Lazy  Ali

note that genitive marking "nin" dropped since it is a proper name, Ali is not group, it is an individual special person.

so, why it [adjectival phrase] transformed into this weird form is that because not giving enough importance to it  ]

Thank you, tunci. General reference of grammatical singular is certainly a very interesting feature in Turkish, difficult for English speakers and not too much discussed at this website.

Yes, its bit complicated, even for us.

                             karpuzun kırmızısı

                             insanın dürüstü

I understand karpuz and insan have a general reference here. But what about the whole structure? Does karpuzun kırmızısı mean a definite red watermelon or red watermelon as a subcategory? Can insanın dürüstü mean more than one person?

In fact, it rather refers a certain one[s] in a group. So, "insanın dürüstü" means honest one[s] of [among other] people.

In other words, any [indefinite] honest person among other people. So, it can refer more than one person.

- Transforming an adjectival  phrase into noun phrase form

Sometimes in verbal and written language we swap the elements [describer and described]  in adjectival phrases  by  adding possessive  suffix. By doing that we refer certain  member[s] of  a group[category].

In other words adjective phrase transforms into a noun phrase form.

Kırmızı         karpuz  --->   Red  watermelon

[describer]  [described]

Karpuzun    kırmızısı--->  The red one[s] of water melons.

[described]  [describer]

The red one[s] of other water-melons.  When we make a statement such as ;

Karpuzun  kırmızını  severim. ------>  I like the red one[s] of  water-melons. [ In other words, I like the red water-melon[s]]

=================================================================

Dürüst   insan  --->  Honest  person.

İnsanın   dürüstü ---> The honest  one[s]  of  people. [ the honest person[s] from all other people]

================================================================

According to some views ; this form should be categorized as noun phrase  structurally but  adjectival  phrase  semantically.
