Friends, I can assure you that Turkish is not that difficult , believe me people on the street talking with making alot of grammar mistakes..

Ordinary Turks dont know or care about grammar that much..

so dont worry about grammar too much.. and dont give up on learning turkish.

To be honest, I have involved in many stupid arguments in the past too. And I realized that this type of arguments are just satisfying our egos but on the other hand it is being such a bad example for learners and it puts them off .

there is never a winner ..

lets go back to our main goal "teaching Turkish" [helping Turkish learners]

I agree withh Gokuyum, We should not involve our mothers in this. cos it is unacceptable and will cause a big fight.

i dont think so. acutally many people think about touching when you say ten uyumu. rest thinks it has something to do with personal attraction http://eksisozluk.com/ten-uyumu--206199

but go in the street in an english speaking country and ask them what "skin harmony" is all of them will say something about dermothologic commercials. ask them "sexual chemistry" and they will ask you why you are making the distinction between chemistry and sexual chemistry, since one includes the other.

Sorry , I can´t go to English Speaking country. I thought  we are discussing [""] a a term in Turkish "Ten Uyumu" said by a Turk.

Lets come back to Turkish streets !

there is no point in trying to defend something thats obviously wrong. dont be ashamed we all do mistakes

It is not obviously wrong, actually  it is not wrong at all.  Forget everything and get on the street and ask 10 people on the street if what comes to their mind when they hear "ten uyumu" , 9 out of 10 will automatically say it is  "sexual harmony". Thats what that term means in people´s mind.
