Quoting thehandsom

What is this post got to do with news articles  and announcement?

Is it difficult to understand for people what makes a post news/article or announcement?

I guess some people never ever understood how this website works despite being here for years.. Another example of "derya içre olup deryayi bilmeyen balik" lol

I think what he meant was it is not on the main page anymore " NEW IN FORUMS" . It is removed from the front page.

Quoting AlphaF

Next time any of my posts is removed from public view by weird minds, without my rior knowledge, I shall cease writing to this forum for good.

I know this will delight some people, but this site will be considerably duller without AlphaF.

Will ADMİN look into my claim and offer a reasonable explanation please.

Although I don´t like you [your style , your lingo]  , I would not want you stop writing here. Which post[s] of yours removed ?

And we have saying in Turkish;

Çıkmaz ayın son çarşambası  ---> Last wednesday of a month that will never come.

It is used when you lose hope on something to happen  " Something will never happen "  [it is not likely to happen ]

For instance;

x.  Türkiye  AB´ye  ne zaman girecek  sence ?   ----> When do you think Türkiye will  enter into EU ?

y.  Çıkmaz ayın  son çarşambası   -------->   Never !

May be English corresponding phrase to it would be  "in a month of Sundays"

Orada oturup bize bakan adam.

Corrections,lütfen.

It is correct if you mean  this ---> The man who is sitting there [and] looking at us

                                                 Orada oturup bize bakan adam.

GEÇMİYOR GÜNLER

Burda çiçekler açmıyor
Kuşlar süzülüp uçmuyor
Yıldızlar ışık saçmıyor
Geçmiyor günler geçmiyor.

Avluda volta vururum
Kah düşünür otururum
Türlü hayaller görürüm
Geçmiyor günler geçmiyor.

Dışarıda mevsim baharmış
Gezip dolaşanlar varmış
Günler su gibi akarmış
Geçmiyor günler geçmiyor.

Gönülde eski sevdalar
Gözümde dereler bağlar
Aynadan hayalin ağlar
Geçmiyor günler geçmiyor.

Yanımda yatan yabancı
Her söz zehir gibi acı
Bütün dertlerin en gücü
Geçmiyor günler geçmiyor.

Söz: Sebahattin Ali
Müzik : Ahmet Kaya

A poem of  Sabahattin Ali which expresses the bitter feelings of  a prisoner. His longing for freedom and world outside.

No flowers blossom here,

No birds gliding here

No stars sparkling here

Days are not passing here…

In  courtyard I pace,

one minute I dive into thoughts

another minute I just sit

various dreams I dream

Days are not passing here….

its summer outside I heard

there are people walking around

and days outside are

flowing like a river I heard

Days are not passing here…

Old loves  in my heart,

My eyes turn into streams

your vision cries through the mirrors

Days are not passing here….

A stranger sleeping next to me,

each word as bitter as poison to me,

the hardest pain to endure for me

Days are not passing here….

Great voice Ahmet Kaya is singing this song at ;

Quoting Abla

These are sometimes hard to understand.

                          Birincilere beşer yüz lira dağıtılır.

´the first five´ or ´five hundred´?

Or maybe ´one hundred given to each group of five´?

Birinci = the one who comes first

Birinciler = the ones who come first

Birincilere = to the ones who come first

==================

beşer yüz lira  =  500 hundred liras  [ group of  500 tl] in other words;

500 tl---> to first  first comer

500 tl - ---> to second first comer

500  tl---> to third  first comer

500 tl ---> to fourth first comer..

[500  tl --> to all first comer............... ]

Birincilere beşer yüz lira dağıtılır.

500 tl  is given to each first comer.

in other words;

First comers are given 500 tl  each.

Yani , each first comer will take 500 tl.
