There are many Hispanics in the US that I've seen who have been here for many years and still can't say a word of English. It's really bad for those people and for the community, but this has even worse consequences in Europe because over there such people don't have to work and are given money. These Asians are still better then some other immigrant groups because at least they don't aspire to convert and destroy the country they live in.

Well no, not generalized. This is not a description of immigrants, but a description of issues.

Ok fair enough maybe i miss understood your point. It just seems to me that there is talk of ' the other' or 'alien' in the air and that makes me feel really sick. I don't have a problem with people coming to the UK,its called migration thats what happens. Some people leave and some people come we need this happening to keep our economy going. Plus wouldnt it be boring if when i went out the door in the morning all i saw were people of the same race and ethnicity. If i had my way it would be the more the merrier, open border policy. I am not so naive as to believe that this would be functional and or possible but a girl can dream. I guess i am just too much of a fluffy liberal for my own good!

I never disagreed with that.

There is good and bad in all nationalities, but some of these people do try to convert and destroy this country. For example one of the July bombers lived 3 miles from where i live and it was in a house 9 miles from where i live that the bombs where made, also the lady teacher who was at the centre of the veil row also lived 3 miles from me.
After the bombing in Turkey the same year i was going to Turkey in the September and people were saying to me "" are you still going "" My reply was yes,i will not let terrorists rule my life and said ""i have more chance of being blown up here in this country.""

I hope you will never have to face your personal terrorist someday. You will convert quick enough...
