Isn´t it funny that there are compounds where an adjective takes the possessive suffix that ties the parts together, such as

                             manik depresif hastası ünlüler

                             kiraz kırmızısı spor araba   ?

Great flexibility.

My Try:

You haven´t surprised me for a long time.

1. "in her early twenties" (she did this and that)

                        ?yirmilerinin ilk yıllarındayken...

                        ?ilk yirmi yıllarındayken...

                        ?yirmilerinin erken yıllarındayken...

or something else?

2. "in her teens" (she did something), could it be

                         ?yaşları 13 ila 19 arasındayken...    ? 

I think cats and dogs are two different things in Islam. A dog is a filthy animal which should be kept outside (but not treated in a cruel way) but I have understood there is a blessing in cats. The nickname of Abu Hurayra, one of the Prophet´s SAAS companions refers to his affection to cats. I don´t know if this means cats were kept in the houses, though. Hardly.

But I have heard some people (or people in some areas I don´t know) in Turkey are afraid especially cats or cat fur brings fatal diseases. Based on what who knows.
