What bothers me in this idea is that if you blocked a user from your sight (which would be your free choice I agree) and saw only a part of the texts in the forum as a result many other posts would not make sense either. The texts in the forum form a textual corpus and you cannot separate a part of it (at least without seeing it) and not miss something else also. One stupid post can become a reason for a further discussion, sarcastic comments (possibly in another thread) or a luscious fight which you might not like to miss.
