When we left Asanbay Café, the time was almost four in the morning. Except for me and maybe Ms. Maral to some extent, almost the whole group was drunk. After I put the teachers group by group in taxis and sent them to their homes, I took Ms. Maral to her apartment house. Although she objected, I accompanied her to her flat door. The beautiful woman opened the door and before entering inside, offered in a somewhat bashful expression to drink coffee together. To accept this offer meant allowing the beginning of a probable adventure, that was going to come after it, knowingly. I was having a hard time looking at the brightly sparking eyes of the young woman standing in front of me. The best thing to do was to leave there immediately. Clarifying that I was very tired, I rejected her invitation gently. Thinking that although my politeness, I still might have offended her, I noticed an understanding expression appearing on her face. While smiling she said:
- Mr. Fatih, tonight I too understood how fitting Luda's opinions about you are. You are a real gentleman. May I thank you for exhibiting a sincere behavior all night long, for not leaving me alone, for showing the tact to bring me to my house, and for not taking advantage of my half drunk state?" and suddenly getting close she landed a kiss on my cheek. Then, laughing, said "good night" and closed the door.
