correction!!!!
the possesive sufixes are: -im, -in, -i, -imiz, -iniz, -leri (e.g. benim okulum, senin okulun, onun okulu, bizim okulumuz, sizin okulunuz, onlarin okullari)
whem the word finishes in a vowel, the vowel of the possesive is dropped (benim silgim, senin silgin, onun silgisi, bizim silgimiz, sizin silginiz, onlarin silgileri)

this rule applies to possisive sufixes.
BUT in case of the verb to be (for which I mistook them), -im, -sin, -dir, -iz, -siniz, -dirler, we keep both the vowel of the word and the vowel of the verb (e.g. iyiyim, iyisin, iyidir, iyiyiz, iyisiniz, iyidirler)

I appologise and hope I have not confused you..more

if you want to say "my water", although it does not make any sense.....it is:
suyum (if you add a sufix beginning with a vowel to a word ending in a vowel, Y must come between the two vowels)

good luck

Let`s all show some maturity and sesitivity and present arguments and stop arguing just for the sake of arguing! This leads nowhere and help nobody!

Buna rağmen devam ediyorum çünkü türkçe'yi çok ama çok severim!!

Why do you use "severim" in this case? Shouldn't it be "seviyorum"?

simdiki zamak (-yor tense) is used for actions happening now, in the moment of speaking (e.g. ben pencereden bakiyorum= I`m looking over the window); the exception is when we say "seni seviyorum= I love you"
genis zaman (-ir tense)is uded for actions happening in general, on regular basis (her gun ogretmenime giderim= I go to my teacher every day; dondurma severim= I like/love icecream)

merhaba!
I've been learning Turkce for a year....I take private lessons once a week...it is little as this is not an easy language
it is very important to try to speak and practice whay you have learnt; if there is not a Turkish speaker around, listen to music, turn the TV on a Turkish channel or simply take a liile of your time and make a grammer exercise.
the summer holliday spent in Turkiye helped me a lot, but I think I could not have managed without the courses I took and I'm still taking as this language is a challenge in itself!

for all those striving to learn Turkce, GOOD LUCK!

Time has passed but I still love you. I think of you every minute of every day and I miss you. I miss your voice, your smile, the light in your eyes, the touch of your hand. I miss everything about you. I have tried to stop loving you but I can't. I promised you that I would love you forever and I can't break that promise. Everyday I wait for you to knock on my front door. Everyting is ready for your arrival

vakit gecti, ama hala seni seviyorum. her gunun dakikasinda seni dusunurum ve seni ozledim. senin sesini, senin gulumseni, senin gozlerinin isigini, senin ellerinin dokunmasini ozledim. herseyini ozledim. seni sevmemeye calistim, ama bu mumkun degil.
I promised you that I would love you forever and I can't break that promise. (this is too difficult for me, but maybe sb esle will help)
hergun kapimi calmayi seni beklerim.herseyi senin varisin icin hazirdir

"Turkisgirll,
You have 22 (EU members) to go then. Go for the full access to EU. We are backing you up."

...and another 2 from 2007, since Romania and Bulgaria will officially become EU members

I am very happy= ben cok mutluYum

mutlu is an adjective to which you must add the verb; in this case is -um and because you cannot have uum, you must add y and you will have "mutluyum= I am happy"
