Hi, wondering if anyone can translate this short poem for me please?  Thanks in advance.

Şehrime gel sevgilim.
Yarın çık gel..
Bırak her şeyi, bir bekleyenim var de gel.

Gel ki, bu şehir adımlarınla anlamlansın,
Gel ki, bu şehir nefretim olmaktan çıksın.
Gel ki, nefes alayım.
Gel.”

Come to my city my love,

Just come tomorrow.

leave everything and come

say you have somebody waiting for you

Come, so that this city may find its meaning

with your footsteps

Come, so that I may cease to hate it.

Come , so that I may take a breath

Come...

3) The song she is singing  is very beautiful.

Onun  söylediği şarkı  çok zel.

I think I had trouble with this before. With Onun, does that mean the singer or the song? Why do we need the possessive (or genitive is it)? Sorry.

That points out "her" ,  the song her [she] singing

The possessive is on the verb, with the participle -dIK

Onun ---> genitive in pronoun

The reason behind the using possesive form is  that because the song is sung by her, it is performed by her not somebody else. The action of singing is POSSESSED by HER only.

Grammar kitabım´ın ilk sayfasında bunu buldum

"mehmet´in partiye gelmesini istemiyorum"

Neden,  " mehmet´in partiye gelmesi istemiyorum" olmasın?

Arasında fark nedir?

gelmesi = his coming

gelmesi + n [buffer] + i  [accusative ending]

So, with the verb  "istemek " , you must use accusative ending - i

Mehmet´in partiye  gelmesini istemiyorum.

Object  of  istemek

You can´t drop that ending.

Can anybody help me understand what is ne evlencem

It is shorthened form of  "evleneceğim" which means "I will get married"

evlen - ecek - im  ---> evleneceğim

Ne evlenecem translates as " Why will I get married  ? "

Here dont take "ne" literal, it rather means " Why should I ?

What is aranizda baya duygusal bir bağ sonuncusuyla

I can´t figure it out. But duygusal bir bağ means an emotional tie.

aranızda = between you

bayağı = quite

duygusal bir bağ= an emotional tie

sonuncusuyla = with the last one of it [them]

It is normal that you can´t figure it out since the sentence is incomplete.
