 AYZIT

Ayzıt was the symbol of beauty. Therefore she resembles  to  Aphrodite [Venus] and Ishtar in Assryian /Babylonian and Greek Goddess.

It is belived that :

Ayzit brings milk from milk lake for a child and drops the milk into the child´s mouth. By doing that, she gives the life to the child.

She also protects human childeren, women, animals and children of animals.

Its symbol is "SWAN ". For this reason , swans were considered as holy animals and they were untouchable.

In Turkic mythology swan was actually a girl. When she wears the white tulle on her she becomes a swan, and when takes it off, she becomes a girl.

In Shaman prayers, she was describes as below :

 Markut [Bürküt]

This is a legendary eagle in Turkic mythology, it has an enormous size resembles to Anka bird. It appeares sometimes as God, sometimes as Goddess.

It is generally described as an enormous female Sky Bird , who accompanies the spirit of  Kam [Shaman], who started on travel heading to the sky. She accompanies  Shaman [spiritual leader] during the first 3 levels of the sky.

From one of  Shaman Prayer, from their ceremonies  :

Gök kuşları beş Merküt,
Tırnakları bakırdan
Ayın tırnağı bakırdan,
Ayın gagası buzdan
Geniş kanatları muhteşem hareketli.
Uzun kuyrukları yelpaze gibi
Sol kanadı ayı örter.
Sağ kanadı güneşi
Ey dokuz kartalın anası!
Yayığı geçerken şaşmaz
İdil üstünde yorulmaz,
Öterek gel sen bana!
Oynayarak gel sen sağ gözüme!
Sağ omzumun üstüne kon."

Quoting WGroleau

Pegasus Airlines: $71

Turkish Airlines: $624

Is there something I don´t know that would make me regret it?

Turkish Airlines is generally more pricy than Pegasus. I always use Pegasus and I am happy with them so far. There seem big difference between those two prices you mentioned above, however it may be campaign or something else.

If it is short distance then go for the cheaper one.

Someone said that one of Hamas´s objectives is to destroy Israel. Is that true? Otherwise, what is their objective, to have their own recoginized nation of Palestine?

Whatever objective Hamas have does not justify what Israel is doing to civilians in Gazza, does it ?

Nationwide boycotts on Israeli products start in Turkey

21 July 2014 20:48 (Last updated 21 July 2014 21:05)
Municipalities from many regions of Turkey have announced they have stopped selling Israeli products.

ANKARA

Municipal authorities in Turkey are backing a boycott of Israeli goods in response to Israel’s military attack on Gaza and the deaths of more than 500 Palestinians.

Authorities in Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa and cities and towns across the country are refusing to stock Israeli products in shops, cafes and recreation centers they manage and are calling on residents not to buy them.

As well as Israeli goods, many are also banning Coca-Cola in protest at U.S. support for Israel.

Sakir Yucel Karaman, mayor of Istanbul´s Gungoren district, said: "It is important to emphasize that we should not give any logistical support to Israeli violence."

“With this understanding, we decided to make clear our attitude by not selling Coca Cola products and others which support the illegal Zionist expansionist policies of Israel."

Hilmi Turkmen, mayor of the city’s Uskudar district, added: "We should at least support our side in such situation as Muslim countries have subsided into a silence."

The boycott expanded across the country through social media with posts listing goods produced in Israel or by companies closely linked to Israel.

There have been reports of a counter-boycott in Israeli supermarkets against Turkish products.

Since July 7 Israel has bombarded Gaza and began a ground offensive on Thursday. The latest toll shows 541 Palestinians and 22 Israelis have been killed during that period.

When you see your friend´s car first time and you like it, you can say to him/her :

- Araban çok güzelmiş ! ---> Your car looks very nice !

You are viewing a house and you find its rooms  big , you can say :

- Odalar genişmiş !  ---> The rooms are big !

- Bak kim gelmiş ! ---> Look who has come !

Your friend bought new shoes and you think they are good deal :

- Ucuzmuş !  ---> They are cheap ! [good deal !]

You´ve just started to learn Turkish and you find Turkish difficult. You say to your friend

Türkçe zor bir dilmiş ! ---> [I have just realized that ] Turkish is a difficult language !

Sabah olmuş ! --> We [I] have just realized that it is [the night turned into] morning.
