Ayla, here is PART 28

PART 28

I noticed that while we were talking the noise has increased. All the tables in the cafe got filled. Groups of girls, boys, mostly Kyrgyz, set their tables with all kinds of drinks. All of the few Russian looking ones were girls; and the boyfriends with them were Kyrgyz. I wasn't surprised with this situation any more; Because since Kyrgyzstan has gained it's independence, most of the Russians, who many of them had lived especially in Bishkek, left the country and found a way to immigrate to Russia. Kyrgyzians were placed in the important jobs they have left. Now power and money were handed to the local people, who felt that they were the true owners of the country. That's why it was very common to see the young Russian girls, who were having trouble in finding jobs and didn't see their future brightly, with Kyrgyz men, on the contrary to the Soviet period...
Parallel to the beer and vodka that was drunk, the loud laugh of the customers became more frequent. The commotions and laughters of the youngsters sitting at one of the nearby tables, were increasing the laughter of the others. Especially, the laughter between a woman and a man or the laughter which resembled a scream of a jackal couldn't be endured. In fact, it looked to me as if there was a laughter and shouting competition between the tables... Fortunately there was no live music in Classic Cafe. If it had been, we would have been really doomed.

Ayla, I hope, this activity is helpful to some of our friends in this site.

This is PART 29

Mecburi sorumlulukların üstüne yüklenen ilâveler, beni her zaman biraz huzursuz etmiştir.. Fakat, karşımdaki, dostum Şahid’di. Elimden geldiğince ona yardım etmeliydim.. Bu, beni ürkütse bile ..
- Mesele nedir, Şahid?’’ dedim. ‘‘Ders çıkışından beri merak içindeyim. Ucundan şÃ¶yle bir çıtlattın; arkası gelmedi. Ben de üsteleyip seni bunaltmak istemedim. Umarım, korkulacak bir durum yoktur?’’
Şahid’in, yüzü hafifçe pembeleşti; biraz tutukça cevap verdi:

hello! i decided to have a try again.. unfortunately there are parts in the brackets that i either couldn't translate or i am not sure about at all..

- Dear Fatih! To my mind, you are more realistic and practical. You know, I always showed respect to your opinion and views. That is why this evening meeting with you and making myself busy for a long time, I wanted to talk of a quite personal and important issue..
The situation was maybe more serious than I thought! It was a little scary to be a person in a situation when he is consulted with on a serious subject. Increased pressure over obligatory responsibility always made me feel uneasy.. But there was my friend in front of me, Shahid. I must have given him help from my hands.. [As if it even made me startle]..
- What is the issue, Shahid? I asked. - I am worrying since leaving the lesson. You gave a hint from an end like that, the sequel hasn’t come. I insisted and I didn’t want to distress you. I hope there is no problem to be frightened of?
Shahid’s face pinked a little, he answered after short hesitation:

Welcome back rena, I'll translate without reading yours and then we can compare:

PART 29

I was almost beginning to regret that we haven't chosen another place to meet, when Shahid began to talk:
- My dear Fatih! You are more realistic and more practical than me. You know that I have always respected your opinions and evaluations. That's why I wished to meet with you tonight and talk to you about a rather personal and important issue, that is bothering me for a long time.
It seemed that the situation was more serious than I thought! It was a little scary to be at the place of someone whose advice was looked for in an important matter. The additions loaded on the necessary responsibilities have always made me a little uneasy. But the person in front of me was my friend Shahid. I had to help him as much as I could... Even if it scared me... I said:
- What's the matter Shahid? Since the end of the lessons I've been in a worry. You dropped a little hint but the rest of it didn't come. And I didn't want to insist and distress you. I hope there isn't a situation to be scared of?"
Shahid's face turned a little pinkish... After hesitating for a while he answered:

30. PARÇA

- My dear Fatih, we don't know each other for long; but among the people I have met till today I believe that you are the one who understands me best." he said and then kept quiet for a while as if he was trying to arrange his thoughts. After he lit the cigarette he took out of the Davidoff pack he continued:
- As you know, my point of view about women is quite different from what might be expected... I don't know... Maybe a little traditional... I couldn't in any way assimilate the modern way of looking at a woman just from the physical aspect. My situation in America wasn't very different. You wouldn't believe, but all the women I met behaved with a practical, utilitarian and a physical approach. That's why I have always avoided them. I have remained in a distance from them. I have found a refuge in the solitude of my own world that I founded on aesthetical values. I preferred that loneliness over togetherness based on those temporary, physical pleasures. And now...
Shahid didn't complete his words. He stopped and watched thoughtfully the falling of the snow outside. It was as if I could feel the direction of his talk. But a voice inside me said that it would be more appropriate to let the situation to it's natural course. I lit a Davidoff too, began to watch the people walking by at the street and remained silent.

Ayla, this is PART 31
Voleybolda, futbolda okul takımının as elemanlarından biriydi. Orhan Gencebay hastasıydı. Onun, ‘‘Bir Teselli Ver’’i Orhan Abimizden daha iyi okuduğuna inanırdık.

hello! i know i'm a bit late.. but still let me post my translation of part 30.. i didn't cheat, ayla!

- My dear Fatih, I didn’t get acquainted with you much long ago but I believe that you are the one of the most familiar people that I knew till today, he told and made a pause as if arranging his thoughts. Having lit a cigarette that he took out of a Davidof package laying on the table, he continued:
- You know, my view of women is rather different from a common one.. How can I know.. Maybe a little traditional.. I couldn’t cope with the modern style to look at a woman as a sexual object. My situation in America was not much different. You won’t believe but all women I met were practical, mercenary, and had sexual affairs. So, I left all of them.. I stopped far to them.. I hided to the loneliness of my world where esthetic values were saved. I preferred that loneliness, to that kind of temporary physical delight.
And now…
Shahid didn’t finish his word. He stopped and plunged into watching the snow outside.
However, my inner voice me told that it would be more suitable to leave the current of the situation.. Lightening a Davidof I also began looking at those from the street and became silent.

not let my check myself by your translation, ayla
