...does Orhan Pamuk use Alif - Ba - Džim for A - B - C in Benim adım kırmızı even though the Arabic alphabet begins Alif - Ba - Ta...?

Quote: Jackson23

Yürüyelim Seninle İstanbul´da
Kırmızıyı sevdiğini bilseydim
hayallerim kıpkırmızı olurdu

İstanbul hala güneşin ardında
ufuklarında birkaç kara leke
birkaç kan pıhtısı dudaklarında
İstanbul hala sevimli mi sevimli
ve hala bir tomurcuk tadında
yürüyelim seninle İstanbul´da

korkusuz bir rüyadır
bekler bizi Beykoz´da, Üsküdar´da
birkaç kuğu, birkaç mahzun kuştüyü
yenilgisiz bir muamma gibidir
arar buluşmayan ellerimizi
deli rüzgar yine sarhoş, hovarda

tam orada, Çamlıca yokuşunda
birkaç bulut çekelim gökyüzünden
damarlarımızdan geçirelim ve birden
bırakalım suların üzerine
sen bir defa konuş, sen bir defa gül
kumlu ebrular yapalım seninle
serpmeli ebrular, bülbülyuvası
hercaimenekşe, gonca ve sümbül

My Try for the beginning:

Let us walk in Istanbul with you

If I knew that you love the red colour

my dreams would be crimson.

Istanbul is still behind the sun.

There are a few black spots in its horizon,

a few blood clots on its lips.

Istanbul is still so lovable,

still like a flower bud.

Let us walk in Istanbul with you.

It is a fearless dream.

A few swans, a few downcast feathers

waits for us in Beykoz, Üsküdar.

It is like a beatless mystery.

A crazy wind, drunk and wild

looks for our hands that never met each other.

Right there, on the hill of Çamlıca,

let us pull a few clouds from the sky,

let us steer them through our veins

and all of a sudden leave them above the waters.

Talk a little, laugh a little,

let´s make sandy marbles you and me,

sprinkling marbles, a nightingale´s nest,

a pansy, a hyacinth.

(Lack of punctuation is bothering in some verses, it may even change the meaning. If you want it in beautiful English I cannot help you, though.)

Thank you all the three of you. (Mehmet knows Finnish, he probably knows why I asked...)

Quoting AlphaF

Fights in TC are rarely among Turks.

If someone told me I am not a Finn it would not make the slightest difference to me.

I mean we are so different.

I guess the word for ´chance´ is ihtimal here.

                  yüzde otuz ihtimalle

                  yüz ihtimalden otuz ihtimalde

                  yüzde otuz ihtimal var.

But wait for natives to correct or confirm it.

A reverse dictionary could be useful in this. But I don´t think there is one  -  or is there?
