Really? Exactly the opposite from what I thought. Good I asked.

I learned -mA- usually negates what is right in front of it. In this case it seems that it doesn´t affect the causative marking but jumps over it, negates the stem, and in the end a causative shadow falls over the whole apparatus. I mean, it would make more sense to me if  ´not to let (someone) sleep´ was *uyumatmak....if you understand what I mean.

uyumak ´to sleep´

uyutmak ´to make (someone) sleep´

uyutmamak ´not to make (someone) sleep´, ´to make (someone) not sleep, not to let (someone) sleep´

Right?

Maybe it is not the smartest question there is but if someone helped me and even translated the sentences into Turkish I could make the conclusions myself.

nifrtity, gokuyum, tunci. You took the challenge and I am so proud of you. Bring us a dozen calculated song lyrics here and they are not worth your lines.

Who is the next one who has what it takes?

I feel pressure now. I don´t write poems in any language, least of all Turkish. Give me...say...two weeks.

First I said WHAT but when I come to think of it it´s a good idea. Learners should actually make a poem competition. What we lack in language skills we could compensate with artistic talent.

I´m looking forward to seeing Henry´s poem.

and pay attention to the difference that he makes between predictions and counterfactual statements. That´s how I interpreted the cat sentence.
