PART 28
I noticed that while we were talking the noise has increased. All the tables in the cafe got filled. Groups of girls, boys, mostly Kyrgyz, set their tables with all kinds of drinks. All of the few Russian looking ones were girls; and the boyfriends with them were Kyrgyz. I wasn't surprised with this situation any more; Because since Kyrgyzstan has gained it's independence, most of the Russians, who many of them had lived especially in Bishkek, left the country and found a way to immigrate to Russia. Kyrgyzians were placed in the important jobs they have left. Now power and money were handed to the local people, who felt that they were the true owners of the country. That's why it was very common to see the young Russian girls, who were having trouble in finding jobs and didn't see their future brightly, with Kyrgyz men, on the contrary to the Soviet period...
Parallel to the beer and vodka that was drunk, the loud laugh of the customers became more frequent. The commotions and laughters of the youngsters sitting at one of the nearby tables, were increasing the laughter of the others. Especially, the laughter between a woman and a man or the laughter which resembled a scream of a jackal couldn't be endured. In fact, it looked to me as if there was a laughter and shouting competition between the tables... Fortunately there was no live music in Classic Cafe. If it had been, we would have been really doomed.
