On our way from Konya to Afyon today we stopped at an otogar. The conductor made an announcement very much like when they tell you how long they are stopping for. İ heard on beş dakkıka so when my husband asked if he had time to go to the loo İ told him we were stopping for 15 minutes.He disappeared off and İ thought it strange that no one else had got off. Then the bus started to back out! İ shouted 'bır dakkıka' bekleyin lütfen!' then had to explain he'd gone off to the loo. After they found him we went on our way. İ then said to him-maybe he said don't get off the bus because we'll be stopping in 15 minutes-sure enough-15 minutes later we pulled into a rest area for half an hour! Doh!

Wouldn't that be just the short infinitive düşÃ¼nme?

Glad you had a good time. İ recommend a road trip-every day fantastic and varied scenery,different foods,different cultures etc etc and all in the same country!

It's now several days later and we have had to tear ourselves away from the gorgeous beach at Kızkalesi.A lovely place and without the hassle normally associated with tourist resorts. We went from there to Konya and enjoyed the Mevlani museum but didn't feel the urge to stay for long so after a quıck overnighter we're now in Afyon. This is our last stop-we'll catch the sleeper train back to İstanbul on Tuesday and end up where we started just over 5 weeks ago.
