         SADDEST POEM

I can write the saddest poem of all tonight.

Write, for instance: "The night is full of stars,
and the stars, blue, shiver in the distance."

The night wind whirls in the sky and sings.

I can write the saddest poem of all tonight.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

On nights like this, I held her in my arms.
I kissed her so many times under the infinite sky.

She loved me, sometimes I loved her.
How could I not have loved her large, still eyes?

I can write the saddest poem of all tonight.
To think I don´t have her. To feel that I´ve lost her.

To hear the immense night, more immense without her.
And the poem falls to the soul as dew to grass.

What does it matter that my love couldn´t keep her.
The night is full of stars and she is not with me.

That´s all. Far away, someone sings. Far away.
My soul is lost without her.

As if to bring her near, my eyes search for her.
My heart searches for her and she is not with me.

The same night that whitens the same trees.
We, we who were, we are the same no longer.

I no longer love her, true, but how much I loved her.
My voice searched the wind to touch her ear.

Someone else´s. She will be someone else´s. As she once
belonged to my kisses.
Her voice, her light body. Her infinite eyes.

I no longer love her, true, but perhaps I love her.
Love is so short and oblivion so long.

Because on nights like this I held her in my arms,
my soul is lost without her.

Although this may be the last pain she causes me,
and this may be the last poem I write for her.

Ellere yar olur. öpmemden önceki gibi.
O ses, ışıl ışıl ten ve sonsuz bakışlarla
Artık sevmiyorum ya severim belki yine
Ne uzundur unutuş ah ne kısadır sevda
Böyle gecelerde kollarıma aldım çünkü
Yüreğim dayanmıyor yitmesine kolayca

Belki bana verdiği son acıdır bu acı
Belki son şiirdir bu yazdığım şiir ona

           THE EYES

Rest Master, for we be a-weary, weary
And would feel the fingers of the wind
Upon these lids that lie over us
Sodden and lead-heavy.

Rest brother, for lo ! the dawn is without !
The yellow flame paleth
And the wax runs low.

Free us, for without be goodly colours,
Green of the wood-moss and flower colours,
And coolness beneath the trees.

Free us, for we perish
In this ever-flowing monotony
Of ugly print marks, black
Upon white parchment.

Free us, for there is one
Whose smile more availeth
Than all the age-old knowledge of thy books:
And we would look thereon.

                            EZRA  POUND

Note : One of my favorite poem. [ En sevdiğim şiirlerden biri ]

                     GÖZLER

Efendimiz dinlen artık, yorgunuz yorgun,
Duyalım biraz da rüzgârların parmaklarını
Üstümüzü örten şu durgun
Yaş kurşun gibi ağır kapaklarda.

Dinlen artık kardeş, gün ağarıyor bak dışarda!
Soldukça soluyor sarı ışık
Eridikçe eriyor mum.

Salıver bizi, dışarda en tatlı renkler,
Yosunun yeşili, çiçek renkleri,
Ağacın altı serinlik.

Salıver bizi, tükeniyoruz yoksa
Akıp duran tekdüzeliğinde
Kuru kuru baskıların
Ak kâğıt üzerinde.

Salıver bizi, biri var ki
Bir gülüşünün verdiğini vermez sana
Yıllanmış bilgisini tüm okuduklarının
Ona bakalım ona

 ANNABEL  LEE

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.

The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and me-
Yes!- that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we-
Of many far wiser than we-
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.

For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride,
In the sepulchre there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

                           Edgar Allan Poe

                    [ 1809-1849]

ANNABEL LEE

Senelerce, senelerce evveldi;
Bir deniz ülkesinde
Yaşayan bir kız vardı, bileceksiniz
İsmi Annabel Lee;
Hiçbir şey düşünmezdi sevilmekten
Sevmekten başka beni.

O çocuk ben çocuk, memleketimiz
O deniz ülkesiydi,
Sevdalı değil karasevdalıydık
Ben ve Annabel Lee;
Göklerde uçan melekler bile
Kıskanırlardı bizi.

Bir gün işte bu yüzden göze geldi
O deniz ülkesinde,
Üşüdü rüzgârından bir bulutun
Güzelim Annabel Lee;
Götürdüler el üstünde
Koyup gittiler beni,
Mezarı ordadır şimdi,
O deniz ülkesinde.

Biz daha bahtiyardık meleklerden
Onlar kıskandı bizi,
-Evet- bu yüzden? (şahidimdir herkes
Ve o deniz ülkesi)
Bir gece bulutunun rüzgârından
Üşüdü gitti Annabel Lee

Sevdadan yana, kim olursa olsun,
Yaşça başça ileri,
Geçemezlerdi bizi;
Ne yedi kat göklerdeki melekler,
Ne deniz dibi cinleri,
Hiçbiri ayıramaz beni senden
Güzelim Annabel Lee.

Ay gelip ışır, hayalin irişir
Güzelim Annabel Lee;
Bu yıldızlar gözlerin gibi parlar
Güzelim Annabel Lee;
Orda gecelerim, uzanır beklerim
Sevgilim, sevgilim, hayatım, gelinim
O azgın sahildeki,
Yattığın yerde seni.

Turkey secures Euro playoff after beating Azerbaijan

11 October 2011, Tuesday / TODAYSZAMAN.COM WITH AP

Turkey secured a playoff spot for next year´s European Championship after Burak Yılmaz scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Azerbaijan in their final qualifier on Tuesday.

Turkey took advantage of Belgium´s 3-1 loss against group winner Germany to finish second in Group A with 17 points, two points ahead of the Belgians.

Turkey dominated the first half but rarely threatened to score, except for a couple of efforts by Real Madrid midfielder Hamit Altıntop and a drive by Kazım Kazım that went narrowly wide in the 14th minute.

Play off ´larda başarılar Türkiye !!

Quoting Loveprague

I am sure I am not the only one who hopes that Turkey reach the Euro´s 2012 with a vital game tonight in Istanbul against Azerbajain! on my reckoning if they beat Azerbajain then Germany are at home to Belgium which I can only see as a German win then Turkiye qualifies.  I am huge football fan and without a doubt in my mind, Turkey has some of the most passionate fans in the world, my only game was Galatasaray Vs Beskitas and that was noisy!

Good luck!

 I am hoping the same things too. Its a vital match for Turkey. Azerbaijan is brother country. [ 1 nation two states ]. I hope they wont make things too difficult for us.

Btw if you like to watch a noisy match next time go to Galatasaray Vs Fenerbahçe..

İYİ ŞANSLAR TÜRKİYE !!

en sevdiğim bu...

Autumn emotion
by Nichita Stanescu

Autumn came so please cover my heart with the
Tree shade—or yours so it won’t wither.

I fear that perhaps I won’t see you sometimes
That I’ll grow sharp wings up to the skies
That you’ll hide within a foreign eye
Which will close with a bitter good-bye.

And then I go near the rocks and shut up.
Take the words and drown them in the sea.
I whistle the moon and rise it and turn it
Into a big love.

 Sonbahar geldi ,

 Lütfen yüreğimi,

 bir ağaç gölgesi ya da

 senin gölgenle ört ki

 sararıp solmasın...

****************

*******************************

 Ve sonra

 Kayalıklara gidip

 sesimi keseceğim...

 Kelimeleri alıp

 denizde boğacağım..

 Aya ıslık çalıp

 yükselteceğim..

 Ve onu,

 büyük bir aşka  dönüştürecegim...

Note : Its a really nice poem.
