You are mixing history and geology, AlphaF. In history 89 years is a very long time.

Mikhail Gorbachev only said they should never have allowed it to happen. It is hindsight.

Does  "67 years" qualify as near future, in the context of world history ?

No. Who could have seen in the stars even ten years earlier that the USSR was going to collapse? Changes are rapid and often surprising.

My point is why do you have to quote someone from 89 years ago in order to prove how he was able to see behind the corner? Most certainly there are as good and more adequate analyses of the Near East situation from more recent thinkers. Even from the Turkish point of view.

89 years is not exactly near future.

We should change the title of this thread into "Paparazzi news"

I prefer them to Facebook philosophy.

So,

Gülistan Hanım İpek Tuzcuoğlu dışında Nurgül Yeşilçay ve Hande Ataizi ile de çalışır. Kariyer anlamında bu oyuncular kafa üstü yere doğru çakılmak üzereler.

Besides İpek Tuzcuoğlu, Gülistan Hanım works with Nurgül Yeşilçay and Hande Ataizi also. In the meaning of career these actors are about to fall headlong on the ground.

-------------------------

Nurgül Yeşilçay’ın “Sensiz Olmaz” adlı dizisi 6. bölümde yayından kaldırıldı. Şimdilerde rol aldığı  ‘Sultan’ adlı dizi de bugün-yarın yayından kaldıralacaktır. Çünkü dizinin aldığı reytinler bunu açıkça gösteriyor.

Nurgül Yeşilçay’s series with the title ‘Sensiz olmaz’ discontinued broadcasting after its 6th part. ‘Sultan’ will also discontinue one of these days. The ratings this series is getting clearly show this.

---------------------------

Hande Ataizi desen, oyunculuğun ‘O’ sunu yapmıyor. İzdivaç programlarının aranılan sunucusu haline geldi. Oysa biz onu oyunculuğuyla tanıdık ve benimsedik.

Talking about Hande Ataizi, she has nothing to do with acting. She has become the master of ceremonies for wedding programs. Yet we became to know her and got used to seeing her as an actress.

----------------------------

Bu isimlerin menajerliğini yapan Gülistan Tartar, menajerlikten başka her şeyi yapıyor. Kariyerini bitirmek sonlandırmak isteyenlerin son durağı Gülistan Hanım´dır. Bu böyle bilinsin.

Gülistan Tartar who is the manager of these stars is doing something else but managing. Gülistan hanım is the last stop for those who want to get terminating their career done with. Which was to be proved.

Islamisation is the natural democratic course of events in Egypt where treatment of muslim groups has been severe during the last decades and where Islamic Brotherhood has been the only social security office for people suffering from poverty and corruption. The West should accept this development because it is what people have chosen. Maybe democracy will take other routes later but for now Brotherhood is the best organized group against the old powers and it also seems to have the capability to negotiate with the more radical salafists which is important for the political balance.

Don´t worry, AlphaF, there are groups which are much more strict in their opinions, much more militant, much more ready to straight action. Groups who consider both Brotherhood and salafists as kuffar, nothing less.

Good. Sağ ol, AlphaF.

I don´t know why I feel so strange about using bir with a possessive marked word.
