Ok, it seems your point no 3.

Yavaşlayabilirmisiniz, aramızdaki mesafe çok açıldı.

Is the one most similar to my suggestion

Would it be also correct if I say ...aramızdaki mesafe çok uzun oldu. ?

No it wont be correct to say "aramızdaki mesafe çok uzun oldu". You can say "aramızdaki mesafe çok uzadı" but "aramızdaki mesafe çok açıldı" sounds much more natural.

Personaly i would say

1-Arkadaşlar yavaş yürüyün, çok uzaklaştınız.

2- Biraz yavaşlamanız mümkün mü (biz) çok geri kaldık / (ben) çok geri kaldım

3-Yavaşlayabilirmisiniz, aramızdaki mesafe çok açıldı.

4-Durun!(imo sounds rude) bekleyin size yetişemiyorum/yetişemiyoruz

And so on... i can say it in many ways and each way has its own pros and cons

Your version is understandable but to tell the truth wrong.

Best.

Sweetykız,

The topic of this thread is "Funny sentence?". It is not hilarious at all, it is totally a rude to use that phrase there.

"Biz de yere düşüne el, kıçı kalkana yol verilir. O kadar"

This phrase means;

We help to people who are down and we do not give a s! to the ones who think they are so precious. That is it!

El vermek: Help, support

Yere düşmek : Has not phisical going on the floor meaning here. It means, feeling down, being in trouble or feeling upset etc...

Kıçı kalkmak has a meaning of; to think you are the only one, you are are unreachable because of some thing happened previously or in the past.

Yol vermek: Here has a meaning to not to care, to let them go in a reckless manner.

Dokunulmasa da görülmese de;kalpte yer verilir bazisina, nedensiz
´´Cemal Süreya´´

Eventhough not being touched, not being seen, it is given a place in the heart to some people, without a reason.

Merhaba,

Today I sent a message saying exactly:

[name], dinle... az önce ben öğremdim... bu gece birden uykusunda benim ikinci dedem öldü şimdiden artik benim hiç dedem yok

I know there are mistakes, like the typo öğremdim but I wrote it in a big hurry. However I thought the message is so simple that it could be easily understood by a native speaker... That´s why I was so surprised to read in the answer:

Hic bise anlamdm

Later the person excused themselves saying he was so busy and absent-minded that he couldn´t concentrate. But I cannot comprehend how absent-minded a person must be not to understand two simple sentences in their native language. Is Turkish considered so complicated even for the native speakers that they must concentrate hard to understand a few sentences? Or just my writing was so bad? ;p

Hello,

First of all I am sorry about your loss. God bless him. And I am a native speaker of Turkish and what I understand from your massage is as follows:

dinle... az önce ben öğremdim... bu gece birden uykusunda benim ikinci dedem öldü şimdiden artik benim hiç dedem yok

Listen! A little while ago I learned that my second grandfather has suddenly passed away in his sleep. Now I have no grandfather.

If that is the meaning your want to convey it is understandable.  I do not know why the person you sent it did not understand it. And no ofcourse a native speaker of Turkish will understand those sentences.

If I wrote that it would look something like this: Az önce diğer dedemin de uykusunda vefat ettiği haberini aldım. Artık ne yazık ki dedem yok.

Hope that helps.

Best
